I've been looking for a good pair of binoculars for my wife over the last 6 months. She loves birding and the small pair she bought for herself several years ago have poor contrast and don't transmit much detail - bad for birding. At a recent astronomy trade show, I found this pair in both 8x42 and 10x42. In looking through them around the hall at the farthest distance I could find, I was impressed with the very clear view and bright image. Since buying her the 10x42s, I've used them myself at night to look at various celestial objects and they have no chromatic aberration that I can see, unlike my pair of binoculars from a very good manufacturer. She loves these Oberwerk binoculars and so do I!

I bought these binoculars for a trip to Africa. Several times guides asked to use my binoculars and were impressed with the quality. They’re a light enough that I carried them all the time and they gave me good close-up views of our sightings. Reviews compared these binoculars to ones over $3000. I’m very pleased with them and highly recommend them

Amazon is quick on delivery today with the recommended Oberwerk 10x42 SE series I do note the focus tolerance sweet spot is tight in getting it just right but in the past when having the Zeiss and Swarovski there was a wider sweet spot of that perfect focus, being more open to needing to be right on it, if that make sense but for $372 out the door these are very sharp and the edge focus is great and don't see and CA so far. There diffidently worth every penny and Oberwerk glass has always been on the side of the birder and astronomer, good work! they will sell a lot of these.

Horrible focus. Can focus left eye but them right eye focus gives me a headache. Horrible unprofessional product ! Much worse than my zeiss terra 10x42 and my nikon 10x56. Bad quality!

Been looking for a reasonably priced set of binoculars for bird watching for a few years. These are not inexpensive binoculars- but they are worth every penny (my opinion). The optics are crystal clear. The set is medium in weight and solid-feeling. I’ll be using these for many years.

Got this pair for birding and animal viewing and couldn’t be happier. Smooth focusing, bright, sharp and light to carry. Well built. Great customer service and support. This is my second pair from Oberwerk. My other is a big BT70 on a tripod which is perfect for home viewing. I also have a high end Steiner marine binoculars which are fine for boating but too heavy and clunky to focus for anything else.
