In the world of tarps, this is at the heavy duty end. Not at all like the ubiquitous blue tarps- quite a bit more substantial. I have some tarps that seem to me to be about the same weight and construction that have held up for years covering lumber. I expect this will hold up just as well. The price is fair for what you get- yes, there are cheaper tarps and depending on your use case they may be fine, but this will work for situations where you need a more rugged barrier that will stand up for a long while. If you, like me, are sick of the cheap - mostly useless - tarps that come at a value from the big box stores take a look at this one. The 16 mil tarp is quite robust and a great option for a wide variety of uses. The build quality seems good, grommets are strong and reinforced and it seems like it will hold up much better than many of the thinner options. I needed a tarp to mix together potting soil and the compost I have been making for months. I wanted to mix this on a tarp so that I did not lose soil into the ground dirt as I need all of it for a new raised bedThe tarp worked great. I had to scrape a shovel on it to thoroughly mix the two and was afraid I might tear the tarp. But, it proved very strong and did not tear at all. We were able to fold the tarp and carry it and the soil mixture to the raised bed and empty it. A quick shake and it was clean enough to fold up until we need to do this again for the next new bed. Should it not hold up, I will come back and edit this review. But, for now, I am very happy with this acquisition. ... show more

This is a very nice heavy duty tarp I used to cover up some siding material outside until I can use it. These tarps should work great for any use as the are very thick and much better than the ones I can buy at the big box stores. 5 Stars

Original: There is a weird unidentifiable stain on it, and it is a few inches shorter than advertised both in length and width. So far I’m very happy with the quality and thickness of this tarp. The material has a nice thickness and the edges feel and look strong. The grommets feel strong and the reinforced plastic corners make it more durable. Overall I do feel like this is a good quality heavy duty tarp and so far I have no reason to believe that it’ll last a while. ... show more

The tarp is a good size and is thick. It's nice that it's silver on one side and black on the other so you have the option to try and reflect light/heat or absorb it. The corner "reinforcements" seem like they are just for looks, as they are not attached to the tarp other than at the grommet. I'm not a science guy, but it seems like they should be sewn into the corner fabric to make them actually useful. ... show more
