We’re on a quest for a replacement canopy and we may have to go commercial. This is a much nicer cover than the original one we had, still, the fabric seems plasticky, not 500D nylon fabric, but more tarp-like, yet, good stitching. Yes, the fabric is thinner than we expected. We also wish the manufacturer would put their logo on one corner strap or on a sewn in tag or on the inside. NOBODY wants the manufacturers name in their reception photos. We understand you’re proud of your product, but please. break the up industry mold? When products are great, people WILL refer them by brand. Logos make people shy away. Do some demographic analysis, please, or silkscreen tags that can be sewn on instead of defacing the canopy itself. Please make these thicker out of 500 or 600D nylon with exactly color matching wall kits.. and in more natural colors, like khakis, greens and browns.. even if you charge more for that tier of quality. At least people will have an option. It would also be nice to see a video of it being installed, or some actual candid shots, instead of the insanely perfect retouched images in the listing. Let people see how the actual product looks, not just a cartoon-like rendition. A real photo or two, please. We’re always concerned when reading replacement cover reviews that say people’s canopy has failed. But many of these people seem to leave theirs up year round and the failure came from a heavy snow or extreme weather. Tents are dangerous in inclement weather and should be taken down before it hits. The sun can also wreak havoc on both fabric and stitching, weakening it over time, setting it up for a failure. That said, we will continue to test our canopy in different situations and report back over time IF we experience anything negative. For now, it appears well sewn and the fabric seems more water resistant than the last one we had. The closures all worked as expected. We’ll soon be testing it nearer to running water and will be able to report regarding how it responds to man made showers from a hose, for now we can not say it is waterproof, other than from pouring bottled water on it. It fits well and appears a good value for the asking cost. But our review is of course, subject to change. No change equals good news. It does look good.

We got this to replace the fabric on an EZ Up Pyramid Vent 10 x 10 canopy. It isn’t a perfect fit, but you can still open and close the canopy without hindrance. The fabric doesn’t look nearly as good as the original, with tension points/bulging where the Velcro straps connect on each side. The fabric hangs somewhat loosely in between those points. The original fabric is tight, like a box, all the way around. I also don’t understand the purpose of the clips on the corners; I guess they’re supposed to provide tension across the side panel, but that didn’t help in our application. With respect to quality, the fabric is not as thick as the original nor reinforced as much, but it is of solid quality. That said, with the aforementioned tension points, I am concerned about stretching, ripping, or wear over time. But this solution is far better than purchasing a new fabric from EZ Up, which is basically the same as buying a whole new canopy, fabric and all. Considering that, I’m thankful that a product like this exists! Based on my shopping, there are other, cheaper options that will deliver a similar level of performance.
