  • Happy I purchased this 10gbit/sec copper tranceiver
Model: 1 Pack
The product worked fine with my ubiquiti dream router 7 and created a 1gbit/sec link between that device and Verizons ont. It was a great buy for the money and I would buy more of them.

  • Copper SFP+ Transceivers - Just What You Need When You Need It!
Model: WT-SFP+-T
The transceivers are a practical, cost-effective solution for upgrading networks while maintaining compatibility with existing copper infrastructure. Designed for multi-speed auto-negotiation, it supports 1G, 2.5G, 5G, and 10G-T connections, making it ideal for data centers, enterprise environments, and high-speed home networks. With plug-and-play functionality, it integrates seamlessly with major brands. Several servers are linked to a TP-Link switch using these 10G SFP+, which work great, providing an easy upgrade path for users looking to expand their network capabilities. Built to work with CAT6a cables, this transceiver delivers stable 10Gbps speeds up to 30 meters (98 feet). Speeds will automatically adjust for longer runs based on cable quality, typically achieving 5Gbps or lower over distances beyond the 30-meter threshold. The module is hot-swappable, allowing easy installation and removal without disrupting network performance. Its ability to auto-negotiate speeds ensures it adapts to different networking environments, offering flexibility for mixed-speed networks. While this transceiver is an excellent short-range solution, it has some limitations. Copper-based SFP+ modules generate more heat and consume more power than fiber alternatives, so ensuring adequate ventilation and cooling in networking equipment is essential. It is also unsuitable for long-distance applications, where fiber-based SFP+ or DAC cables provide better efficiency and lower latency. These are spares for 2 network servers. They tested well at 10gbs using Cat7 shielded cables. Cat7 STP cable is our standard for all rack network communications to provide reliable data transfers. I do use fiber cable for long runs. Some of the NAS network cards only support copper so these fit right in. Overall, this 10G SFP+ to RJ-45 transceiver is a solid choice for users seeking an affordable way to achieve 10G networking over copper cabling. It delivers reliable performance, straightforward installation, and broad compatibility, making it an excellent option for those who need high-speed networking without transitioning to fiber. However, fiber-based solutions remain the better alternative for networks requiring longer cable runs or lower power consumption. ... show more

  • Seems to work
Model: 1 Pack
This unit seemed to work fine in my UDM Pro. It made a 10gbps connection to my fiber ONT, and I didn't see any issues. Only wish it ran a bit cooler and supported longer ranges

  • 10G at 30M (98 feet) ONLY
Model: 1 Pack
Product works as described - 4 Stars because it works in Unifi, but only supports 10G up 30M, but i gave it 5 stars because it clearly states its spec and speed/distance ratings and meets its stated speeds. TL/DR - Would be a true 5 star if supported 10GB at 100M at this price. Other than that this product was as described, passed the tests and meets stated specs. I would recommend if if you have Unifi Switches, it achieves 10GB over CAT6 under 30M, 5GB over 30M with CAT6 or CAT5e *********************************************** Test results Pass/Fail based negotiated speed and a 500GB data transfer monitoring for anomalies between 2 Unifi switches and 2 servers with M.2 SSD's 1. Tested 10GB between Enterprise 24-POE and Enterprise 8POE at 20M CAT6 with Unifi Copper SFP+ and WTTOGTEC 10G transceiver = Passed 2. Tested 10GB between Enterprise XG24 and Enterprise 8POE at 36M CAT6 with Unifi Copper SFP+ and WTTOGTEC 10G transceiver = Passed at 5GB negotiated speed ***I get 10GB between Unifi Copper SFP+'s even though CAT6 only supports 10G at 30M or less)*** 3. Tested 5GB between Enterprise 24-POE and UDM-SE at 100M CAT5e with Unifi Copper SFP+ and WTTOGTEC 10G transceiver = Pass w/caveat - The CAT5e i am using has a 350MHz rating while achieving the 5Gb speed, IEEE standard is 100MHz which might not achieve same speed) Overall, this transceiver was recognised by unifi switches and had no issues negotiating IEEE speeds based on the transceiver and IEEE Spec. and, at an affordable price point! • Works fine with my Ubiquiti 2.5G switch
Model: WT-SFP+-T
My needs are pretty simple. I have a 2.5 Ubiquiti network running through my house. I recently got a new switch that Ubiquiti is offering that has an SFP+ port. Since my fiber internet ONT doesn't offer anything other than a typical copper connection, I have no use for that SFP+ connection. I wanted to repurpose it to be able to have it be another LAN port that I could use to connect to various devices and switches and APs, since for me 2.5Gb ports are at a premium. So I decided to try this adapter to be able to convert back to a Cat 6 or 6A connection. It was a simple install, and as hoped, I now have another typical ethernet port to put to use, so that's good. I do not have anything at 10G yet, so I'm not pushing it too hard. But mission accomplished. Note that this thing gets quite hot. But I guess that's typical of these types of adapters. If you have a similar need as me, it seems like this can be a pretty easy straightforward solution. ... show more

  • No Complaints
Model: WT-SFP+-T
These modules worked perfectly fine in both switches I tried (one Zyxel and one ienRon) and they do support 2.5Gbit link speed. I have no way to test 5Gbit support but I've never heard of one of these transceivers supporting one but not the other. I initially thought one had a stability issue but it turned out to be a faulty cable. After some testing I did confirm that both of the modules I was sent are fully functional, but I ended up not using them for more than a few days (I had an opportunity to upgrade that link to fiber) so I can't vouch for the performance of these SFP+ modules long-term. ... show more
