This KARFER retractable garden hose has a number of 'pluses' including its very light weight especially for one with a hundred feet reach, it collapses back to one third its full size when you turn off the water and let it drain and it is very easy to store. However, because of its collapsing structure it's inside diameter is smaller than a non-collapsible hose and therefore you have a lower water flow. In my case it is still quite adequate for use around the garden but I would not use it where higher pressure is desired. The material used to wrap the outside of the hose snags easily on rose bush thorns but it did not puncture so it should not be a real problem. Time will tell how well this holds up in normal use.
