It just works! I bought this for my off grid house 2 years ago. There was a lightning storm that melted parts of my $3500 inverter and controller system and I needed something quick and cheap. This fit the bill. I wired it up while I rebuilt the big expensive system. It never gave me any trouble other than when I over loaded the wattage and it would turn off. Thats my fault. Once my normal system was up and running again I decided to leave these inverter as the primary inverter when we were not there. I wired up a transformer switch and figured if we had another lighting storm it would just blow the cheap inverter this time. It’s been running for 2 years nonstop. Like I said it just works and it’s cheap.

This 48 volt, 1000 watt PSW inverter was able to start and run a 5,000 BTU window unit AC over 2.5 summers in Philly area. Sometimes it took a couple starting attempts, but it can certainly do it! Once running it could provide the ACs needed 660 watts for many hours each day (usually 4-6 hours/day using solar) Unfortunately, this month the inverter cooling fan seems to have failed which causes overheating and shut down. Bottom line, impressive power at low cost but would like it to last longer. The display is useful and bright. May try and replace fan.

I work with mostly 48vdc Telecom/Network systems. We invested in several 48 VDC power systems with batteries to keep our systems up in a AC power outage. However we also had several AC powered switches, routers and servers that we also need to keep up. These units provide a much more cost effective way to power AC gear off our 48VDC backup systems than adding a second AC backup UPS. Have had one unit running for over a year and recently added two more.

Not 1000W... a 350W continuous load causes it to shutdown after a few minutes. A peak of over about 700W shuts it down immediately. The manual claims it's 500W continuous and 1000W peak, but, of course you don't find that out until you have the unit. Also, the active cooling fan in my particular unit failed about a week after return period had expired. So, overall, I wouldn't recommend.

Have not tried this out yet but the overall size is smaller than the picture shows. Will add to review once ive ran it some. one of the reviews that someone gave 1 star too on this unit shows he had a fault with it. If ya read his review he mentions 12 volts. This is a 48 volt unit which would explain why he has a fault showing and it not working.

I bought this to convert 48 volt DC golf cart batteries to 120 volts AC. We use it to run lights and other low wattage accessories when camping. This works great. It even has a digital display to show input volts and output volts. It accepts a range of input so you don’t have to be exactly at 48 volts. It will accept 55 volts without issues. Definitely well made.

Looks cool but I can't use it because there are not recommended cables included. Should I return this one and have Amazon do an exchange return? Should you send me another one or send cables. Waiting to use something I paid for but cant.
