- Important notesBefore use, make sure the rubber plugs on the rear, middle, and bottom drainage holes (two in total) are properly inserted. Then turn on the unit and use it as normal. Mildew smell and mold growth
Followed all the setup instructions, including the step of leaving the unit upright for 24+ hours before the first use. While the unit expelled cold air, our two bedroom apartment quickly began smelling like mildew everywhere. We initially thought this was just because it hadn’t been run before, however, after 2 weeks of use, the mildew smell only got worse. Upon further inspection, the drainage hose and larger window hose had black buildup in them—we assume this was mold that was spreading from inside the unit. Unfortunately, we discovered this far too late, and the humans and pets of our apartment are all experiencing symptoms of mold exposure—dizzy spells, migraines, shortness of breath, etc. As others have mentioned, the drainage of this unit is unreal. We had a 5 gallon bucket for the water to spill in to. On average, we were emptying this bucket twice a day. I’ve always lived with portable AC units, but I have never had one that had this much water leakage. It is nearly impossible to maintain if you aren’t home to tend to it. The price point was nice, but I definitely wouldn’t trust this brand again. While did cool down the apartment, there is too much risk regarding the drainage and mold situation. We will be returning the unit ASAP.

HAPPY AND COOL AS A CUC!
I don’t normally leave reviews, but I had no hope for this machine when I bought it. That is because I was convinced that none of these portable ACs really work very well. My last one was $500 by Black & Decker. This blows it out of the water. It is truly effective and has great power behind it. What I didn’t realize when I purchased it, which is my fault for not reading thoroughly is that there is no internal collection container for water. It comes with a hose. The first night I fell asleep with it on because I couldn’t believe what a great job it was doing And it overflowed and caused a mess. But again, user error. It was relatively easy to set up, but I couldn’t really figure out the screw and window mechanism and how to do that. I’m not very handy. I just used gorilla tape and it’s fine. I cannot say enough good things about this machine. It really cools the whole room very well and it’s not something you have to sit directly in front of to get the benefits. That was with the black and Decker. You had to sit right in front of it to feel cool And whenever I would put it on the dog would take it anyway. Noise level is great. It’s normal. So very happy with this machine I wish everybody the best and I recommend.

Great value
I was skeptical given the amazing price but I've been running it practically nonstop for months and it's fantastic. Does a great job of cooling down a bedroom and it is surprisingly quiet.

Works great, but...
Very good product. Blows out very cold air, and has been a life saver this summer. However, the unit will shut off automatically, and won't turn back on sometimes. I've sat there and lowered the temperature to 61 degrees and the light just blinks and it doesn't do anything. Luckily, turning it off and turning back on works sometimes. I haven't tried the whole unplugging suggestion they say to do, but i mean should someone really have to do that when it decides to malfunction... other than that, it is great

Works fine but does generate water on the cooling setting

After 3 days of use at a couple hours a day in moderate heat and humidity , it works as advertised, with one exception. It is very compact, generates plenty of cold air and is reasonably quiet. However, they very clearly call out this unit as being " self evaporating " and say it will not generate any extra water on the AC function. But when you unbox it , the instructions want you to connect the length of included tubing to a vessel to collect water. You will need to for sure - after the 5 hours of running we had 6 ounces of water . Be aware of the description on the site.

Easy setup and we're feeling cool
I was nervous about setting this up, so we did it at home before taking it to the cabin where it will be used. We don't have any sliding windows so we used our sliding door just to test. Likes + simple setup + cools well + pretty intuitive and easy to figure out + remote is nice + child lock and sleep features are nice Dislikes - the instructions could be more detailed (but everything was easy enough to figure out on our own as I mentioned) The instructions are pretty easy to follow. However, it doesn't mention that to secure the two pieces to brace the hose in the window, you need to use the small metal piece and wing nut found in the bag with the remote. It's easy enough to figure it out, but the instructions could show that. Once we had it assembled we couldn't get it to power on before realizing that we needed to hit the button on the plug to reset. So that's something to check if it won't go on for you! After that, it was very easy to figure out and ran great! It has a bit of noise but no more than to be expected and it blows nice and cool. To use the dehumidifier function, there is a small hose to connect. However, it seems that you should have a tray to empty into or elevate the unit so you can drain down into a bucket. Just something to note... Overall, it seems to work great! I love the size, it really seems to cool well, and I'm very happy!

Disappointing performance and SERIOUS safety concerns.
I bought this for my home office as a temporary relief during the Texas summer when my central AC went out. I used it for three days and it never delivered more than a 2°F drop in my ~200 sq ft room. The only time I felt anything was sitting a few feet in front of it. On the last day, my office was 87°F while the outdoor temp was 85°F and the rest of the upstairs was 83°F—so in effect it made the room hotter, likely from exhaust/heat gain. It was also noisy, making the room uncomfortable without meaningful cooling. The sticker on the unit lists CEER = 6.6. For context, most portable ACs cluster around ~7–10, and better dual-hose/inverter models can reach ~10–12. 6.6 is below average even for a portable, and my results matched that poor efficiency. The documentation explicitly states it is not for home/residential use, yet the listing clearly markets and depicts it for home use. That contradiction is unacceptable. The unit uses an A2L refrigerant—classified as mildly flammable (low burning velocity) but still flammable and odorless. That means a leak may not be detectable by smell, and the manual’s “well-ventilated” guidance raises obvious concerns for typical bedrooms/offices (and better ventilation would likely reduce cooling effectiveness). I didn’t react immediately to the flammability warning, but the longer it sat in my house, the more alarming it became. In hindsight, I should have returned it immediately—and I did, after three days, relieved to have it out of my home. I'm a little concerned that Amazon is allowing this to be sold on it's platform. My experience: * Cooling: Max ~2°F drop in ~200 sq ft; at one point hotter than outside. * Airflow/Noise: Noticeably noisy; cooling only perceptible within a few feet. * Efficiency: CEER 6.6 on the sticker—poor by portable standards. * Safety: A2L (mildly flammable), odorless refrigerant + manual says not for home use, despite residential marketing. Bottom line: For a Texas summer emergency in a home office, this was ineffective, inefficient, and raised serious safety/disclosure concerns. Anyone who values their home and family should avoid this.
