I used this product to block light in my camper windows. The stick on Velcro attachments can peel off of the window frame if I don't hold it down when removing the shade. The material is very thin but seems sturdy and completely blacks out the light.

This film is a great option for travel! It doesn’t come with scissors but has a cutter tool. It comes with clear stickies and Velcro as well. The inside of the film is that silver reflective material and the other side is black. There is a lot of material to work with making this a good option for multiple windows/locations. The material is decent quality and lightweight. The set also comes with a measuring tape and pen. I will update this review as needed!

This tightly woven fabric is quite hi-tech, feeling more like something from the space program than just typical polyester or nylon cloth. It's thin, stiff, strong and lightweight but does a great job of blocking out light. Instead of adhering it with the included pads, I just draped it on a rod over the window. It arrived folded with some creases, which can easily be ironed out at a low setting. It's much better quality than expected, and I'm quite pleased with the look and results.

Cut to fit and easy install. One good tip, install both sides of the velcro to the curtain. Then peel the back of the part that goes on the wall and stick it in place. That way you are not trying to match the velcro on the curtain after you have installed it on the wall.

We have a gap behind our Roman shades that would stream light into our baby's crib every morning. These black out shades were super simple to install and completely fixed our problem! As other users have stated, the velcro is super strong so very small squares are effective. I even put some pieces on the outside of the curtain so I could fold it up if I wanted to open the blinds and let in light. I'm sure the velcro will eventually peel off but there's plenty provided so you can replace it as necessary. The only con (which is also a pro!) is that the backing on these is shiny silver....so I'm very happy baby's room is at the back of the house because it's a bit of an eyesore from the outside. But I'm sure this was done to reflect light...and our upstairs is always really hot so I'm excited to see if this will help keep the room cooler.

This blackout curtain works great at blocking out light and reducing heat. I installed these curtains in a room with windows facing east and west. The temperatures are noticeably cooler, so the air conditioning doesn't have to work as hard. This product includes everything you need to size, cut, and install the curtains. I highly recommend these curtains if you want to keep the temperature down.

With summer fast approaching the days are getting longer and the sun is rising earlier, and that's starting to affect my sleep as I tend to wake up with the sun. I had bought some blackout blinds from Ikea last year but never got around to installing them and probably won't in the next little while so I was interested in trying a quick alternative. I have a 62.5" wide window and it was easy to measure and cut the fabric to size, put on the groceries and stick it to the window frame. That went on quite easily, I think the slowest part was me trying to be perfect about the measurement and the cut. Wow, it really blocks out the light. I noticed the external facing side has this silver lining which should block out the heat too, perfect if we have another summer of extreme heat, something the blinds don't have. Ironically the last few days we've been experiencing unseasonably cold temperatures, and with this installed the room actually felt warmer last night, a nice bonus I didn't expect. Admittedly it won't look as nice as the blinds but it also took me far less time to install so I have no complaints for its intended temporary nature. And depending on how motivated I get these may stay there longer than I had originally planned.

In my bedroom it can get tough watching tv during the day because of the glare. These helped so much. I just installed them which was so easy to do and the glare is gone. It also darkens the room at night a bit more which makes sleeping a lot easier now. So easy to install and you can just take them off if you don't need them.
