  • Lasted only 20 months.
I purchased this October 12, 2020. I live in Northern CA where we might get 1 or 2 inches of snow once a year, some rain and wind, but the summers are hot and dry. I think it’s the heat that got it. It fit nice and snug when I installed it, but could tell it was thin material and knew it wouldn’t make it 2 years. Luckily I bought the Allstate insurance, and that was a little bit of a hassle to make a claim. The cover started showing signs of wear around 12 months and some slight tears at 18 months and the top completely blew out at about 20 months. The original cover that came with the frame lasted what seamed like forever, but was more like 7 years, which makes this replacement sad to see only last for 1 year before showing signs of wear. I originally paid $88 plus tax and now this one costs $103. Allstate would only refund me $80 and told me to buy another replacement cover and if it was over $80 to send them the receipt with another claim, but they’d only refund me up to $88 of the original price and that exhausts the 5 year extended warranty and does not transfer to the new cover. I get that part but what I don’t understand is why they don’t just send me a replacement or cover the cost of a replacement. Just be aware they don’t cover price increases, that’s on you. I guess I can thank Brandon for the price increase due to inflation. It’s not easy to find the right color and exact size as some frames vary by a few inches and the roof pitches may be different so I might be stuck buying this one again and the insurance for $21. ... show more

  • Good Water Collection System
I purchased this cover exactly a year ago in anticipation of the failure of the original cover of my 7 year old Costco 10 x 20 canopy used to cover my dog pen. Over the winter the cover finally failed after outstanding service so yesterday I replaced it with this cover. I was somewhat immediately disappointed. The cover is cut larger than the original and fits loosely and my immediate thought was this is going to collect water and snow like crazy. Sure enough this same evening we had a light rain and the cover trapped rain as seen in the photo. This going to be a constant headache requiring the need to dump water after the slightest rain. A slushy snow will likely kill it. The material is noticeably thinner than the original so even with a proper fit I would expect half the life of the original perhaps 2 or 3 years. The way it traps water with the consequent stretching and abrasion against the frame I am not confident it will make a year. On the plus side the grommets are well spaced including near the edges on the sides that line up nicely with the frame legs. I may try zig zagging some shock cord to add support. UPDATE: Zig zagging shock cord did resolve the water pooling issue. As pictured 2 lengths starting from opposite ends were front to back used for the X portions and 3 lengths were cut to go across the width. Altogether it took about 135' of stretched 1/4" shock cord. This should help with snow load as well. Most of the shock cord does not seem to make roof contact without a load so wear may not be a problem. As can be seen the grommets come right to the frame so even short ball bungees attach loosely with no stretch. or tension to the roof or bungees. Your frame would need to be about a foot wider and longer for a good fit. If you are unlucky with a fit like mine you can either add shock cord or try the replacement from Costco online which comes with ball bungees. The price is pretty close. At any rate I am adding a star as this with this modification life will likely be acceptably increased. ... show more

  • No better than others like it
These covers are basically made out of the Same factory in china, you would be lucky to get one to last over a year as they are thin and the material degrades very quickly in our weather. I put this one over the previously installed to until I install a permanent metal carport.

  • First time buying
It was easy to install and it fared well during a minor wind storm that completely destroyed my 13X13 Coleman canopy. I don't know how long it will last, that remain to be seen. As of now I am happy with it and I like that I am able to buy the it without the frame.

  • Lasts 1 year
Under seasonal rains and we are in a drought. We live in a moderate climate. I have replaced 6 of these in 6 years. I just expect it now.

  • Tarp for top of kennel
It needed to come with brackets for the ends to make a triangle. It ripped from the rain due to it not being able to run off like it should have wasn't aware it didnt come with brackets.
