  • In Theory, I am Sure They Are Nice Plants
Back in late February heading towards March I went on a spree purchasing all sorts of seeds and such wanting to make myself a nice little garden once Spring came around. I purchased these seeds, some Bonzai Seeds, and various other seeds to try and get myself a nice selection of fruit and vegetables. I contacted the local green houses and got ideas from them in regards to how to grow these seeds. I watched hours upon hours of Youtube videos where it showed people getting their seeds to germinate. Then I attempted to try with my own seeds. There were enough of them that I did the cold stratification like everyone says you need to do with these trees. Three months of wasted time with meticulous tracking of the temperature for the best growing environment a cherry tree could ask for. Absolutely nothing. Followed all instructions I could find online in regards to planting these. Tried some seeds one way, and other seeds another. Nothing worked. In every instance, the seed is still sitting in the dirt with no signs of life. Absolute waste. I am going to try finding someone local to get a seedling from. These seeds were a waste of time and money. ... show more

  • Still have 3 and they are growing like crazy, keep changing pots
i had 5 start to grow, put them in a big round tray and covered with plastic and put out in the sun on porch. I live in Chattanooga so quite warm. took about a week but they started growing and i put them in the sun, they got rained on and flooded so i lost 2 on the rescue. Brought them in and put under lamps. Still have 3 and they are growing like crazy, keep changing pots, only in red/blue lamps and they are 1-1 and 1/2 foot tall. hope to put them outside in the spring. The only thing I wonder is what kind of cherries they are, they don't look like the picture. The leaves seem a lot bigger than the picture has. ... show more

  • What variety are these?
These "seeds", which are actually pits or cherry stones, look just like the ones I get from my Nanking Cherry bushes. The fruit is only about a half inch in diameter and sour. We'll see if they germinate. I'm about to file the pits open and put them in a paper towel, then a zipper bag in my refrigerator. The pits are so small it is very difficult to hold them. I tried using a regular pliers, but the didn't hold the seed firmly enough ang using a file or small saw resulted in the pit pivoting. I used a vice grip and most of the pits cracked. I'm hoping the seed within most of them has stayed intact. The eventual best way of creating an opening in the shell is to hold the pit between forefinger and thumb, then carefully saw on the shell. Now to put them in a damp paper towel. I've added a teaspoon of citric acid to a gallon of water to help prevent mold. I'll report back when and if I get results. ... show more

  • Awful lable. Awful packaging.
A tiny dime bag thrown into a big box with other Amazon stuff. Hid under the flaps of the box. What if the box got damaged? The tape ripped? my boxes seldom come in good shape and often round from the airline baggage handlers. Then once found there's no lable a person can read. Only a bar code. Doing a Google search for the bar code finds hundreds of results, none of them what's in the package. ... show more
