Such a great value for the price. We bought two of them. One person can assemble by themselves. Solidly constructed once it's assembled but is not unreasonably heavy, making it easy to move. You'll need a LOT of space to construct it, so keep that in mind. Excellent value for its price!

Bought this metal box spring to use with our existing, traditional bed frame and a memory foam mattress. Works exactly as needed. Wasn’t too difficult to assemble and took about 30 minutes by myself. We’ve been using it for a few months and have had no real issues with it. It doesn’t squeak, is very solid, and is the correct fit for our queen size frame and mattress. It does slide on the frame (wooden) pretty easily when no one is on the bed, so I may add some type of grippy strips to the bottom to help. The cover fit over easily, it I wish it had grip of some type on the bottom to stop the sliding. I didn’t feel like that one minor issue deserved to have any stars removed though.     • Lack of boards for support and some parts are not secured

The numerous sideways bars (i.e. top of the box spring) that hold up the mattress will fall out if you have to turn it on it's side. I had to turn it on the side to move things around in my room. I had to put tape to make sure they didn't slide out. Secondly, normal box springs have a glued on cardboard to even out the forces from the bars against the mattress. This product has no board to even out the forces.This has been a problem for me, I need a very regular shape on the bottom of my mattress, I have a sealy posturepedic mattress that needs a flat support. This is not what I would expect from a box spring. The good thing vs my wood one is that I don't have to worry about standing on it and cracking because its sturdy, but the lack of the boards makes it uncomfortable and inconveinent. I will have to find some boards for my bed now. Overall I feel like I shouldn't have to modify my box spring in any way (taping and putting boards), but it is forcing me to do it. It's affordable, but I could not foresee these problems. I hope this helps somebody before they buy it. ... show more

Real buyer here, my husband put this together for our queen bed & the reviews are true, it is a bit on the cheap side. We had to bend some metal to make screws fit, but once it was done it came together & works just fine. We are putting this on a bed frame that doesn’t require a box spring, but we hate how low to the ground we are, and wow, 5 inches made a huge difference! it was damaged prior to packing. two pieces were bent and it looked like something either fell on them or they fell after being bound together. The assembly was easy and it will work but note: inspect before unbinding. The box was in perfect shape so I know the damage didnt occur during shipping. These were packed damaged, visibly damaged. The size is slightly off but that could be because of the bends. I had to make adjustments to make sure it would not fall off the frame since it is being used a box spring not sitting flat on the floor. ... show more
