Wanted to save a few $ and went with this amp/sub. Being honest it's a waist of money, don't buy. The hardware is garbage, the amp started shutting off after about a month. The sound is HORRIBLE. I've owned many vehicles and installed sound systems and never had something like this. I bought this to add a little base to my kenworth t800, being a daycab semi with limited space i was hopeful. Do not purchase this one, get a name brand.

I had high hopes. I've got another sub box and amplifier that's been waiting months to install in my trunk because I don't have time to do all the wiring necessary. I ordered this to do a quick install in the front of the car, under the seat. I tested it outside the car to make sure it worked. Wiring it up has several options, from tapping your existing high level audio to a direct line-level link. For power there are pre-fused options, or the company provides a fusible link (cool looking too). Another extra is the high/low audio input, only there if you need it, nice of them to include it. It sounds decent. It doesn't provide as much kick or rumble as it could for the speaker size because these flat cabinets don't have enough room to push air. But, that's true for all of this type of speaker, it's not a knock on this one in particular. One advantage though is that these flat subs push the bass right up into your body, you feel what you don't hear, and that's fun too. Unfortunately after verifying it all wired up and sounded great, before I actually cracked my dash to do the wiring I checked the box under the seat. It doesn't fit, presumably because my seat is powered and can move in any angle, plus up and down. The motors for that take up the space where this would go. The same is also true for my passenger seat. Maybe I can find placement for this under the rear seats, or rear deck, but then I'm back to the problem I have with the other sub-box, doing the wiring under the upholstery is a long trip. So ultimately, I'll not get this actually installed for awhile. Let that beware a buyer, check the fit before purchase. I ultimately dinged a star from this review not because of any problems I had, but with the advertising and instructions. The instruction sheet contains typos and numerous mis-spellings. There's even typos on the retail box. How do you miss calling your product a "Suboofer" on the customer facing box‽‽ I've got low confidence a company that can't spell might also not be able to do good solders, or pay extra for good capacitors. I'm a strong believer that companies that do not pay attention to detail in what you can see are probably also not paying attention to detail where you can't. Nobody wants to pay good money for a shoddy product.

This is a nice slim sub that fits well under my truck's backseat. It looks good and sounds better. It was easy to install and has all the things you need to install it. It's got a good weight to it and well-built. The box is nice. This is worth the money.

I love this subwoofer because it's perfectly tuned out of the gate. I've messed for hours with trying to get my old amp and sub to sound great, and even though this one is a lot cheaper than what I used to have it sounds so much better! It was super easy to wire up and instantly just worked perfectly. I didn't touch any of the dials or settings because I was thrilled with how it sounded stock. The wires included aren't the highest of quality but they still work and the only noticeable thing about them is that they are hard to strip, apart from that I see no reason not to use the included wires. Granted that the ground wire is only like 2 feet long but there's grounds all over cars so I didn't see it as a big deal. I highly recommend this guy, especially because it requires little knowledge of how to tune, and the entire unit is built like a truck. It's fully metal and I have no worries about crushing it. The flashing lights to the beat are really cool but there isn't a way to turn them off. I put this in my truck and quickly realized that it was distracting driving at night and that the police probably wouldn't like blue flashing lights coming out of my car so I turned it upside down and the problem was solved. There is a button that says 0-180* on it and by pressing that it makes the subwoofer fire the other way in it upside down. After pressing it I didn't even notice a difference after turning it upside down. It's small enough to fit under most backseats but not all front seats, I would say powered seats are going to be more of a struggle, but just toss it in the trunk! It sounds amazing from back there!

While this is no match for my 2x Alpine Type R 12's, it's also about 1/15th the cost of what I have invested in that system. For the overall investment, this is actually pretty good. One thing to watch out for is if you have a more advanced car stereo system, is the included line-out converter won't make up for a modern car stereo's tendency to reduce the bass output at higher volume levels in order to prevent car owners from blowing out the cheap factory speakers. You will instead want a more advanced line out converter, such as the Audio Control LC2i, which can compensate for the stock audio system's automatic bass reduction by ramping up the bass when it detects it dropping off. So long as the line-out converter works for you, this is an amazing deal and everything you need. But beware, your car stereo might reduce the bass levels necessitating a more advanced solution than what's included here. 4 stars.

Got this slim sub under my seat, and it delivers solid bass for its size. It's not as powerful as larger subs but still gives that good rumble. Easy install options, but double-check the fit—powered seats might be an issue. Not thrilled with the typos on the box; makes me wonder about quality control. Overall, pretty decent for a quick upgrade!
