Love these scooters!
Purchased two of these scooters for my wife’s 60th birthday. These scooters are a blast! I researched for over a month before I decided and I must say that I’ve not had one single issue, nothing at all like some of the negative reviews I read. Our pair of scooters are great. We take them with us almost everywhere we go. Perfect speed whether your in sport mode or cruise mode. I’m 6’ and 205lbs, and the scooter runs perfectly, even on hills. Now if you go up a real steep grade, your walking, but most hills and inclines your fine. The information on the app to connect your scooter is full of useful information. Our first ride was around Lake Michigan. We went 12.7 miles with an average speed of 15mph and used 48% of our battery. Better than I expected. Anyway, if your looking for a reliable scooter for a nice ride, this scooter will be fine!!

Stopped working in 11 months. Ghosted by customer support.
This was a great scooter initially. The ride was smooth and it wasn’t especially fast for my son. He saved his money and purchased this himself last January. He is now 10yrs old. It was light weight enough for a 9yr old to maneuver and easy to use. Having purchased the item himself he took care of his scooter. Only riding it around our neighborhood and always storing it properly. I admit I needed to use it one to go a mile down the road to pick up my car and as an adult I could not recommend it for an everyday commuter option. The battery life doesn’t hold charge for long especially long distances and again isn’t very fast. Early December it would power on after a charge but not move when the throttle was pressed. All connections are intact and the error message it provides seems to be an issue with the throttle. I have emailed customer support for Volcam three different times with no response. Per the website that is how to reach customer support. I do not support and can’t recommend a product that the manufacturer doesn’t stand by. Clearly they do not care that it’s cheap and breaks prior to the “manufacturer warranty.” Or they will ghost you until it lapses. Be warned!

Good scooter for the money, excellent customer service!

This is not the review I had planed to write a few weeks ago. I had an issue with my scooter's brakes in less than 90 days from the date of purchase and it took some back and forth negotiating over a week or two because of the time delays in the Amazon messaging system but Volpam stood behind it and resolved my issue. I had planned to leave a negative review but their customer service was excellent and I have to give them credit for that in a day and age when most companies just want your money. I bought the 500watt motor and this was my second scooter, the first being a 350 watt. I definitely would tell a new buyer to start smaller as it was a great opportunity to learn to ride and gain a good comfort level. The first time I got on this one and gave it some power, it toook off with force that the 350 didn't have and I was happy to know how to respond. First and foremost, however, is you NEED a helmet. I was hit on my first scooter as we were both coming to a stop sign and going about 5 miles per hour. I sustained a pretty nasty head injury in the fall and it could have been avoided by wearing a helmet. As a 50-something year old guy you would think I would know better but I still thought I was invincible and didn't need one. Now I won't leave home without it. And simply put, travelling 22 mph on asphalt without a helmet is just plain a bad idea. I chose one that has a rechargable rear light that flashes in several modes but Amazon has some really cool ones that had LED displays, turn signals, blue tooth, and even ones that have crash detection and can call for help and give your coordinates. The 500 watt scooter has good power, excellent battery life, feels sturdy, and is a good value for the price. I recently moved to an area with a lot of hills and it even handles those pretty well although it does slow down to about 11 MPH on some of the steepest ones. I'm 5'11, 200# and it is capable of easily acheiving 22mph on flat terrain. The last thing I would add is check the laws in your state. Here in CA you can't ride on the sidewalk and if I read it right, you are supposed to stay below 6mph around pedestrians. There are several other laws in the cal vehicle code relating to scooters and you can actually be ticketed for speeding on them if you violate the CVC. Happy riding!

Stable product with 3 speed modes. Top speed is around 30 mph and battery life is good. When my rear fender broke, I contacted the seller and they quickly helped us with a replacement part.

FUNTABULOUS SCOOTER

This scooter is more than we expected. The bumble bee look is raw. It's very quiet and gives a smooth ride. The suspension works great. It gets up to 30mph but 33-35 down hill, back break light blinks when you press the break, it has a wide deck, the headlight is pretty bright & it doesn't take very long to charge. My husband and I use it for (15 miles a day) short distance rides. It took about 3 days to run the battery down. However, when the battery got to 1 red flashing bar it still got up to 30 miles an hour & it never actually died. When we unboxed the scooter and plugged it in to charge; the battery was already fully charged. That was FUNTABULOUS! I'm 5'1 an my husband is 6'2 and the scooter as far as the height of the bars is for adults. It's very sturdy. For our 1st scooter ever we agree this was a great investment. I'm giving 4 stars only because we haven't had a chance to test out the features when connected to your cell phone. We look forward to it though.

Hazardous charger
Scooter is fantastic! Charger? Not so much... The charger included with this not only didn't work, but was hazardous. It caused all of my outlets to let out orange sparks before I even plugged them in. I was advised by my buildings electricians to buy a separate charger. Volpam has not responded to me since I reported this issue to them to get a replacement charger. Customer service seems to be non-existent. The scooter is awesome though! Handles well on most terrains, lightweight enough to carry and has a good battery life.
