I have a 3 rifles and 2 shotguns and lots of ammunition that were just sitting in a closet. My wife got tired of having them there taking up space, and even more of a concern was the potential safety risk. I have 3 handguns which are locked up already, so why not have them all locked up? I would have earlier, but the gun safes that I saw at stores were pretty expensive, and the price tag seemed to outweigh the potential risk. We have no children in our house and rarely have children over. However, we do occasionally have our granddaughter over and I didn’t want even the remotest possibility of her getting hurt. Finally, I looked around and found this gun safe on Amazon. The price was right so I went ahead and ordered it. Some reviewers commented that it didn’t have any directions included. I am not doubting them, but I am assuming that their cases may have been an oversight, because mine surely did. They were very helpful in assembling the gun safe. Let me start by saying that this gun safe is not going to withstand a very determined criminal. The sides of the safe are not hugely thick (think sheet metal), and I’m sure could be drilled through or cut through without too much difficulty. This gun safe is not like safes you would see in a bank for example. That is fine by me, because those type of gun safes are a whole lot heavier and way more expensive. This safe is more designed to keep honest people honest and to keep children out. I didn’t find it at all hard to put together, and I was impressed that they included a screwdriver in case you didn’t have one. I especially like the fact that it can be opened in two ways. The normal way of opening the safe is with a user-set combination. If the combination lock were to fail, or if the batteries were to go bad, then you can use a key to open it up as well. That was hugely important to me. I used to work in the physical security business for bank vaults among many other products, and although electronic locks are very reliable (much more so than non-electronic locks), they are not infallible. I would hate to have to break into my own safe if the lock failed or the batteries died. Not an issue with this one though. There was plenty of room for 3 rifles and 2 shot guns, and a bunch of ammunition. I stored a few handguns in there as well. In the door there are sleeves for holding handguns. I like the fact that it includes a shelf for storing miscellaneous items like a rifle scope, or more ammunition or whatever. I feel much better now knowing that all the firearms in my house are securely stored. I would recommend this safe for its ease of use, the fact that it is not huge nor is it excessively heavy. For me, and probably most homeowners, it’s the right balance between functionality and safety — all for a good price.

I am very pleased with this gun safe. The user manual is very clear, making the installation and setup process very straightforward. Once assembled, the safe feels sturdy and secure. It's highly functional with ample space for multiple guns. While I don't need all the slots, the included dividers are a great feature, allowing me to store other valuables inside efficiently. For the price, it represents solid value and does everything I need it to.

All of these "gun safes" being sold on Amazon for around this price range are all pretty similar. In short, they are not "safes" but "cabinets". Enough to keep contents out of the hands of little kids, but a thief with the right tools will get inside in seconds. Maybe keep them busy enough before the police arrives. Assembly was a little bit difficult because the instructions were in miniscule print and the pictures were very important to get the orientation of each piece right. The metal was very thin, weak enough to be bent by pliers in some places, especially in the places where two pieces join together with screws. The method of opening by turning the key pad is strange, a separate handle or knob would be more robust it seems. Also I can't figure out how to turn off the beeping with each key press, it might not be possible, because it is extremely loud. You might have to mute the alarm system to turn off the keypress beeping, but I actually want the alarm system on. But it is expected quality and build for the price point. I would rather have a real safe (like the ones in Tractor supply or similar), but didn't want to deal with moving a 400 lb safe myself.

Picked up the Safe a little while ago and it does exactly what I needed for basic home gun storage. The steel feels solid for the price, the door closes cleanly, and once it’s bolted down it doesn’t budge. The electronic keypad is straightforward to program and lets me get in quickly, and the backup keys work fine. It took me 30min to put together alone... add someone told hold it and use a power screwdriver and cut that time in half. Capacity-wise, it will realistically hold closer to the low end of the 8–10 rifle claim if you’ve got optics or larger stocks, but there’s still enough room for a few pistols and some accessories on the shelf. The quick-access part is legit, once you get used to the keypad, you can be in the safe in a few seconds. If you’re looking for an affordable, no-frills safe to keep rifles and handguns locked up and out of kids’ hands, this one is a solid option.

Very tight fit for 8 guns and the electric lock doesn't work. Instructions are horrible, no ups or down, no left or right . Metal is good and key works well. I would not suggest you buy one

Nice size safe. Has a convenient shelf along with adjustable foam gun holders. The combination was easy to set and it comes with 2 emergency keys. The keypad is very basic and easy to read. Seems pretty sturdy and would take some effort to try and break into this safe. Weighs approximately 60 lbs and was easy to move with 2 people. Assembly took about 1 hour. Good value for the price.

I feeling pretty miss lead on this one!! If you are looking to buy this one to be able to store anything more than 6 real rifles or shotguns, do yourself a favor and buy something else because this one only hold 6. And it's tight. There is no way your putting 10-15!

I’m really happy with this gun safe! The assembly was way easier than I expected and the instructions were super clear, every part was labeled, and the whole setup took hardly any time. It’s honestly one of the most straightforward assemblies I’ve done. Once it was put together, the safe felt really sturdy and secure, with a heavy steel door and strong locking bolts that give real peace of mind. The tamper alarm and keypad work great, and the backup keys are handy too. It fits my rifles, handguns, and ammo perfectly. The quality is excellent and totally worth the price!!
