So let me start this review by saying that I am a gamer. Every summer my room with my computer gets insanely hot compared to the rest of the house. I never wanted to turn down the AC just for my room so I always left it. I live with other people so I also can't open my door to let the heat out. Then there is the other issue which is that I have windows that cannot fit a normal window AC so I needed a portable one. I've always heard that portable ones were not great at cooling so I never actually got one. Then comes this unit on amazon vine and I decided to actually finally give them a try. Now for the actual AC review: Getting it out of the box was super simple and the instructions were very easy to read. Super simple to set up and anyone could figure it out with how good the instructions are. Its also a lot smaller than I was expecting so that is a plus. I've been using it to cool my room for about a week now and it works way better than people say portable AC work. It was able to cool my room down from 82 to 70 in just a couple hours. I'm also going to mention that I have a hose insulation velcro wrap. This also helps the hose from the ac not work to counter the cooling. I would recommend people that get portable AC to get something similar. Since I am also a gamer I never heard the sound of the AC at all since I have headphones on. Asked people if they could hear it in my mic and everyone said no so it can't be that loud. The appearance is super nice looking and it has wheels so it is actually really portable. I've not tried the app or anything like that but the remote works perfectly for me so I see no reason for the app. I would say for the money that this is definitely worth the purchase. Portable AC are nowhere near as bad as people say and if it is your only option for your window then it would be better to have it than not.

If you are not familiar with Amazon Vine, it is basically Amazon trading free* products for honest reviews. I do my best to make my reviews honest, real and value-oriented as if I had paid for each item I receive. * These items are not totally free as Vine members pay income tax on the items they receive. I only mention this because we Viners do have some skin in the game for each item we order. Why I ordered this item: I needed something to cool down my home office during the summer. My house has central air but this room gets wonky hot in the afternoons and I didn't want to blast the AC for the whole house just for one room. Likes: * The window kit slides out to fit different window sizes and I got it installed in maybe twenty minutes. You don't need to drill anything or mess with permanent mounting. * I set it to 70 degrees and it brought my office from around 80 down to that in maybe fifteen minutes. The airflow is zippy and you can feel it working right away. * The wheels actually roll smooth on hardwood and don't get stuck on the rug edge like some units do. I've rolled it from my office to the bedroom a few times and it's not a pain to relocate. The handles on the sides help when you need to lift it over a threshold. * I can turn it on from my car so the room is already cool when I get home. Voice control with Alexa works too but I mostly just use the app or the remote. No likes: * This unit is loud. Like really loud. I can't take phone calls when it's running because people complain they can't hear me. Sleep mode is quieter but it's still noticeable. * This thing sucks power like crazy. The compressor kicks on and off constantly which seems wasteful. * The water tank fills up fast in humid weather. It's a decent sized tank but humid days really fill it up quick. Would I pay full price for this product: Yes Final thoughts: It drops my room temperature fast and the app buttons respond instantly when I tap them. But man, it's loud and power hungry. It's good for spot cooling but you'll notice it running.

This portable AC has honestly been a lifesaver during hotter days, especially for cooling smaller rooms without needing a full window unit setup. For an 8000 BTU unit, it does a surprisingly good job cooling. I’ve been using it in a bedroom/living area setup, and it noticeably brings the temperature down within a reasonable amount of time. Like most portable ACs, it works best in enclosed spaces with the door closed, but for rooms around the advertised range, it performs well. One thing I really appreciate is the versatility. Having multiple modes (cool, fan, dry/dehumidify, and sleep) makes it feel more useful year-round instead of just a basic air conditioner. The dry mode especially helps the room feel less stuffy and humid. The smart features are also convenient. The app and remote make it easy to adjust settings without constantly getting up, and setup was fairly straightforward. Voice control is a nice bonus if you already use smart home devices. Noise level is reasonable for a portable AC. It’s definitely not silent—no portable unit really is because the compressor is inside the room—but it’s quieter than I expected and easy enough to sleep with on sleep mode or lower fan settings. This is the perfect AC unit for when your main one breaks or if you just want to cool a small room or office. The installation of the ac unit is quite easy and fast. The installation of the AC can be done in minutes, the installation of the window part was simple just select the right size and close the window to make a tight seal, the tubing for the exhaust was as simple as just twisting the tube in place and sliding each end to the right part. All in all it took me about 1 minute to have the unit working and cooling my room. I tested the unit to check power consumption, how fast it cools the room. So here are the results of my tests. 1 The power consumption depends on the mode, and fan speed. When cooling at low speed the max wattage usage was: 708 watts When cooling at high speed the max wattage usage was: 839 watts When using just fan at max speed the peak was: 689 watts These results did not change if the temperature setting was at 72F or 61F 2 Regarding the time to reach a temperature While using cold, high speed, temp set to 72F in a room with about 121sqft. The AC unit took about 3 hours to go from 79.9F to 72.9F Another time when using cold, high speed, temp set to 61F (lowest temp) in the same room. The AC unit took about 2 hours 20 minutes to go from 77.8F to 72.3F 3 Noise level of the unit. This is more on the personal level of each person but to me the AC unit is slightly on the high noise side. The fan creates plenty of sound, add to this the compressor is almost always running so you can hear the buzzing of the compressor and a fan all the time, which is likely to annoy some people. Overall this is a great unit to have if your central unit is down and you want to just keep your room cool. I will say this does use quite a bit of electricity so if you plan to use a portable electric generator be ready to finish your battery in 1 or 2 hours (tested with a fully charged 2048Wh portable generator).

Ok so we live in a Brooklyn apartment and the summers are NO joke. Me and my husband been using window units for years but they always block the whole window which drive me crazy. We decided to try this portable one and honestly I was skeptical at first but it work SO well. Our bedroom gets down to a comfortable temp in like 20-30 minutes. I love that I can control it from my phone when im in the kitchen and dont want to walk back. The sleep mode is also a great feature, it gets real quiet at night. Installation was easy, comes with everything you need for the window kit. Only minor issue is the hose exhaust is a bit short but nothing a little repositioning cant fix. Highly recommend for apartment living!
