Cools 20x20 room adequately but compressor is noisy and unable to sleep without earplugs. The foam window insulation is not cut evenly to close all gaps around window insert. Needed to purchase insulation separately.

Not sure about this air conditioner. It will switch fan speeds on it's own from high to low constantly and also turns off on it's own. I do not have it set in auto mode or sleep mode. I called customer service and they were no help at all. I would not recommend this air conditioner at all. I will be sending it back if I can't get anyone to help me with it. You should be able to set the fan speed to high in the cooling mode and have it stay that way. Also the turning on and off on it's own is very annoying. ... show more

    • This ac unit doesn't match up with the positive reviews it has. This unit struggles to lower temps.
Not really impressed with this unit after just a few days. I previously purchased a hisense portable ac unit that blew ice cold for 5 years and lowered temps in the garage by 15-20 degrees compared to outside. This Koolsiln is the same BTU and struggles to barely even keep it cooler than outside. Most likely will be replaced with something else. ... show more
