The dispenser is actual metal not just plastic with a chrome/aluminum look. It does include a wrench to remove the dispenser, a diffuser for teas or cold brews as it says. Something I didn't realize it came with was a silicone cover for the bottom of the glass container. Definitely reduced the sound when placing it down and gave that extra cushion. Easy to clean. This is easy to use, easy to clean, and works as intended! It makes excellent coffee. I use a whole brick of Bustello, let it sit at room temp for about 5-6 hours stir the coffee down, add more water to the coffee compartment, to assure it is all wet and then refrigerate over night. Great!!

I love the quality of this Glass Carafe. I am happy with it, and I have experienced some leaking until I did the what I mention at the bottom. I think of this as more of a quality DIY kitchenware appliance. The glass is thick and spout is stainless. My lid screws on fine, however if you have trouble try the counter clockwise turn trick. Turn the lid counter clockwise until it pops down, then turn it clockwise. Everything is made pretty cleanly (no weird overly engineered pieces) You get stainless steel spout and lid, thick glass, and semi-stiff rubber washers. I've used this for about 1 year, I clean it each time I use it, however I noticed mold growing on the rubber (like it always does), which started to affect taste. Mainly the inside part where the rubber meets the glass and metal, where you can't clean well. So I noticed that this product is put together rather simply. I unscrewed the spout off and removed all components. I was able to do this with my fingers alone, one hand inside and one hand outside. I took all pieces and washed them. You'll see this that glass carafe just has a hole drilled into it, be careful. After reassembling the pieces I removed I made sure that it was tight, but not too tight. I didn't need to use a tool for this. Just held the flat parts of inside and spinned the spout clockwise to tighten. I made sure it was snug. If you use a tool, be careful not to over tighten or you could crack the glass, it's not that the glass is fragile, but the metal and screwing forces applied is definitely stronger than the glass that this compromised with the hole drilled into it. Ever since I've done this, I never have any leaks. I'll say this is partly the manufacturer's fault, but I assumed they don't tighen the spout fully or perhaps it was dislodged in transit. PLEASE NOTE, THE SPOUT CAN STILL BE TURNED EVEN WHEN FULLY TIGHT. The plastic on glass is slippery enough to still spin even when fully tightened. I hope this helps. Enjoy. ... show more

We bought this last year and I'd only used it a few times until this summer. We now use it several times a week. Pros: * The coffee comes out great - no grinds. It's easy to dump the filter, too. * Cost-savings compared to coffee shops. * Easy to use - 2 c ground coffee and 16 c water, steep overnight, remove filter and you have coffee. * Flavor is great - but remember you control the type of coffee you use (and the grind). Cons: * It's ok to clean. We use a bottle brush. If it gets overly stained, just a bit of baking soda and scrub. Not for the dishwasher. * I worry it will break in the fridge. It's large and takes up a lot of room. * You need to plan ahead. This takes 12 hours to steep, minimum (longer for stronger). Overall: If you're running to the cafe too often or buying too many plastic bottles of cold brew at the market, this will save you time, money and help you impact your environmental footprint. ... show more

this is a great cold brew maker and by far the best I’ve bought from Amazon over the years. I feel like my search to save money making cold brew at home is finally over. 1) this does not make weak coffee 2) needs only 8-10ish hours to work if you forget the night before 3) filtered spout prevents you drinking grinds.     • How to fix leakage !!!

The media could not be loaded. I love this product and quality. The only down side is leakage. It keep leaking after you close the water dispenser. Finally, we used the wrench hold it inside and twist the faucet untill it tighten up. No more leakage. Hope it help:)
