    • The perfect size jar when you don’t wanna use a gallon!
I purchased this jar to make cold brew coffee. I’ve also used this jar for making kombucha when you don’t want to use a 1 gallon jar the 64 ounce half gallon jar works amazing for both purposes. I used to be able to find these jars at my local Walmart store but over the past few years I have no longer been able to find them so I turned to Amazon. I took the metal lid that came with the product and threw it in the trash and replaced it with a screw on plastic mason jar lid.. no leaks and it works great ... show more

If you buy the country line lids they work on these jars. The are thick & have the markings of how much each area has in it.. looks very great quality material. Its a sorta Squamish & I love it.. worth the price.. deff check out the country line plastic jar tops with a pour spout. I bought it for my Tea.. ... show more

I buy frozen orange juice nowadays since the price of everything has gone up. I use this jar with a pourable lid to mix my OJ. It’s great because you can’t shake a regular pitcher without slinging OJ everywhere. I’m going to grab me another one to use for my “herbs”. It holds a lot of whatever you decide to put in it. I purchased this lovely wide mouth Ball jar with two piece lid for when I make milk kefir. I preferred to make one, 1/2 gallon size jar rather than 2 quart size jars. This is a nice, 64 oz., wide mouth, Ball glass jar. The lid screws on easily and securely. Of course, all the wide mouth jar lids fit on it. It washes well in the dishwasher as well as by hand. I like storing food products in glass. The big container of oatmeal goes in the half gallon ball jar. The large bag of rice is stored in a ball jar. 1lb of coffee beans, I could go on and on. I don't have to worry about any kind of pests. Ants in the spring. Any kind of hidden pest that may have compromised the packaging at the plant where it was made. I purchased this item to make limoncello with by steeping lemon peels with vodka. The opening is generous, with plenty of space for me to put a hand in. This will help with clean up later on! The glass is thick and feels sturdy and the measurement lines on the sides are helpful. The included lid is a canning lid (separate rim and top with wax) which I did not expect as someone new to buying jars.
