Wonderful styling wand, I hardly ever use a curling iron now

This curling attachment for the Dyson airwrap works just okay. It fits into the airwrap with a little wiggling. Once in though, the attachment stays put and does not move around. The size of this attachment creates big bouncy curls. The reason I removed one star however is that the airflow does not seem to be as strong as my other attachments. It is more difficult to get my hair to wrap around the barrel. Also, once my hair is wrapped around, I can't pull my hair taut to create tension without pulling my hair off the barrel. Because I cannot create too much tension, the top part of my hair looks a bit frizzier than it normally does after styling.

This is the second Puregust accessory I have ordered and it works. It feels a little different than an official accessory as I attach it to my Airwrap, but once in place it is seated well and functions fine. This is a very large barrel and, with everything with the Airwrap, curl definition and longevity depends on your hair type, what products you use, and how well you use it. Airwrap curls always are going to be looser than where the start and with a barrel this large, most of us are going to end up with very large loose curls that end up more as waves. Since I already have thinner Airwrap barrels, I wanted this one for more of a wavy, voluminous look without having to pay full price for an official accessory. It grabs and wraps the hair very much like my other barrels do. I feel like there's a little more air escaping and hitting my head, but I think that is just more due to the significantly larger diameter barrel than what I'm used to with my thinner barrels. The switch on top helps you easily sift the rotation direction. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a large curling barrel.

This 40mm barrel wand for the dyson airwrap is a useful attachment! It's a pretty close dupe to the real thing color wise. It twists and switches sides easily. The toggle marks are slightly off center when locked in place, and it's a bit more snug. In action it works great, wrapping well on its own and cooling down well. I like the big relaxed curls on shoulder length hair and how easy it is to make a casual but polished look. I am really happy with mine.

This item was received for free, however, this review is 100% honest and unbiased. This long barrel for the Dyson Airwrap is awesome! I’ve been wanting to get those big, loose waves and these totally do the trick. Super easy to use—just like the original Airwrap barrels—and I love that they auto-wrap in both directions. The curls come out soft and bouncy without frying my hair. Plus, they’re way more affordable than the Dyson ones. If you want that relaxed, voluminous look, definitely worth grabbing these!

This is a decent but not great barrel and a nice single option vs having the interchangeable left side right side barrels. But if y already have the larger single barrel I’d pass on this one. This does fit my Dyson air wrap but I had to wiggle it to get it to lock in properly. I think the spacing of the locking pegs is ever so slightly off on my barrel. The barrel itself is a good size for a large voluminous blowout sort of look. I have below shoulder length very straight hair that fights to hold a curl but if properly prepped, I can get it to hold a curl with my Dyson air wrap. I personally have the version that has the barrels with the selector knob at the top so doing a one to one comparison here….this is close but not quite the same. I just could not get my hair to latch on tightly. This meant my ends kept sliding off of the bottom of the barrel and weren’t getting curled. Small sections, large sections, wetter hair, drier hair, I tried everything I could think of and nothing got it to latch securely. This isn’t a bad curling barrel, and I was able to get a nice wave and bounce to my hair but because it wouldn’t latch properly my hair wasn’t truly able to work with the barrel to curl it was just fighting against the barrel to stay attached. I would put this solidly in the meh category. Wanted to love it but that didn’t happen.
