I had searched and searched, read reviews etc for a down comforter, and finally decided on one and ordered it. It was awful! The blanket part was SO noisy! The material sounded like it was made of material and plastic! I had a down blanket previously that had worn out after 10 yrs or so and I knew that cotton shouldn't sound like that. Anyway, I was so afraid that I would get this and the same thing would happen. I am so happy to say that it didn't! This one feels like cotton ought to feel. NO NOICE and like normal soft material. I did as it said and put it in the dryer and it came out fluffy as it stated that it would after being compressed in the shipping box. I put it on my bed and I am so happy with it. This is a good all weather comforter. However there is very little down in this blanket. If you look through the squares you will find that it is filled only 1/4 full. Not sure it is worth the price given the small amount of down in the blanket. It is extremely soft. Could have been a little cheaper but overall I am satisfied with it. ... show more

Great down comforter for Midwest. Good price. Heavy enough without being too much. Don’t be surprised that it comes in relatively small box. A good shake and a few minutes and it was nice and plump.

Not lightweight at ALL. Husband and I used for a couple months during the WINTER but had to switch back to our quilt.... it’s way too heavy and feels too much like a weighted blanket for us.
