Not water/fire proof. Holes in the back for wall mounting are completely open to the inside of the safe. It was also impossible to get open (I followed instructions to the T using the key and turned everything the correct direction). I still can’t open it. The door is extremely sunken in and I noticed several scratch marks in the corner where it opens. Seems like I got someone’s return and they also were not able to get it open so they tried to pry it open leaving scratch marks and lots of bumps. ... show more

This is a very good safe. Easy to set new code. Feels sturdy and was packaged very well. I only took off one star due to misleading measurements in the description pix. Inside measurements would have been way more helpful as a result this safe is too small for its intended use. But because it was packaged so well, I can’t repack to send it back. Will have to find another use for it. Note: I research the heck out of items like this and only found one safe in the hundred or more safes on Amazon that actually had inside measurements.
