This is a really nice fixture, I love the style of it. The glass panels have tiny bubbles in them that refract the light when the lights are on, and makes it look a little brighter. The metal appears to be powder coated so it should weather the elements well. The package does include the required hardware to install it, you get a mounting plate, 3 wire nuts and screws to mount the mounting plate. You will need your own screwdriver though. Installation was relatively simple. There are only 3 wires to attach, a ground, neutral, and a hot. If you are going to attempt to install this yourself make sure your main breaker is turned OFF before you start the installation. Better still, have a qualified electrician install it for you. The only hiccup I encountered during the installation was that It was a bit fiddly to align the main mounting bracket with the holes on the light. One tip I would say is make sure the long silver screws rotate somewhat freely before you put it all together. That way when you attach the plate that has the bulbs on it, you can keep twisting the brown nuts so that the plate is flush with the ceiling. I left the light settings on auto and turned the switch on and it works quite nicely. My only complaint about the light is that you cannot turn off the motion sensitivity, and even on its lowest setting it keeps turning on randomly when no one is near it. We got this light to replace an old light fixture on our back porch that stopped working. The light was well packed, felt sturdy, and the instructions were clear and easy to understand. After we removed the old light, the round mounting bracket fit perfectly into the existing opening and it was simple to reattach the wires and install the light onto the bracket. The black metal frame and bubbled glass look great, a huge improvement over the generic light it replaced and so far it's been working perfectly. Thumbs up! ... show more

I've been wanting to replace my front entry light with one that had motion and daylight sensing but the options are pretty limited and not terribly eye-catching. While I don't claim this one to be eye-catching, I think it looks better than the ones I've previously looked at and the "seeded" glass adds a nice visual appeal. The first thing I noted was the heft of the box. Clearly this light has some decent amount of metal and glass in it versus cheap plastic. Upon opening the box, I found the light to be very well packaged and protected by shaped foam. Installation is pretty straight forward, although the two mounting plate screws that need to find their way into the light fixture are a bit of a pita. Please note that wire nuts are not provided. Once installed and lights bulbs screwed in, the light turns on once power is restored. After that, I waited until dark (the daylight sensor obviously works) to test the motion sensor and it worked fantastically for my usage. I put it on maximum sensitivity to turn on as people approach the front door but it does not turn on when I pass by the door on the inside of the house. I do appreciate that the settings for light duration and motion sensitivity are on the outside of the housing, so it makes it easy to change without having to disassemble the light fixture. I'm a big fan of bright light white, but obviously, you can change that effect by choosing your bulbs. ... show more
