This is a good price for the size of the safe. I keep my gun in there and a couple of other important things. The handgun is as big as a Glock. There’s plenty of room in this safe. The weight and sturdiness of the safe is mediocre. As long as it keeps my gun out of sight and locked away, my mind is at ease.     • Safe doesn’t work and there’s no way to use the 3 yr warranty

DON’T BUY! It worked great for the first 6 months, then just stopped locking. No amount of troubleshooting was working, so I tried to access the 3 year warranty. SURPRISE! After 3 attempts to contact them for their warranty process, I gave up and contacted Amazon. They are accepting the return.

This is a very good, basic safe for the homeowner who has money or valuables in their home that they want to protect by locking them up. This safe has lots of great features; I like that there is a top and bottom compartment which can be set up for two different people or different types of valuables. The digital keypads make it very quick and easy to gain access to the inside of the safe; it takes much less time than the old dial type that you had to open with a three digit combination. The digital keypad operates using four AA batteries; the batteries also light up the inside of the safe once you have the door open. One really smart thing about this safe is that there are several different ways to get inside it in case of emergency; there are emergency keys that you can use to bypass the keypad in the event you forget your personal code. There is also a device that also uses 4 AA batteries that can open the safe in the event that the safe batteries go dead. There is a lockable secret compartment in the bottom of the safe that is covered with the same material that is on the doors and shelves inside the safe. There are plastic hangers on the inside of both doors if you want a place to hang valuable jewelry. At just under 100 pounds, this safe is easy to transport using a hand truck, (the guy who delivered it hoisted it on his shoulder and carried it to my house, but he was in his 20's and built like a tank) so it can be placed on a second floor if desired. ... show more
