abunda_amazon_reviews 1st off, my TV was delivered to my front porch 19 hours after purchasing. Amazing service. Box was in pristine condition along with a friendly delivery. Upon opening, everything was intact, mainly the screen. I also sweat ordering TV's off the internet afraid the screen will get busted along the way. Everything was just as it was loaded at the factory. I use the Firestick and the set up for the TV didn't take 3 minutes if that. Piece of cake, and the picture was great. I was really liking this new toy. I watched it a lot the first 3 days, but on day 4, out of the blue, the picture went black, but I still had sound. I figured it was the station I was watching so changed to another channel, and the same thing. Black screen. Then the sound went out. So I unplugged it, re-plugged and rebooted, and it came right back up. But it still bothered me as to why this happened on a brand new unit. A couple hours later, it did it again. Unplugged, re-plugged and rebooted and it came back like nothing had happened. It did this 4 times within a few hours. Not good. The next day it worked literally all day. (I'm retired and home a lot so yeah, the tv stays on most of the day) But late in the day, it cut off again. That's when I said enough's enough. I'm sure it's probably just a little $5 part that needs replacing, but I didn't want the hassle of dealing with that, so took advantage of the 30 day return policy and just returned it. I purchased a Samsung tv from Amazon and so far, so good. I really did like this tv before experiencing problems. One thing I noticed was the sound of the tv was better than any I ever had. I do use a A/V receiver for movies and certain programs, but for the most part just use the tv sound. I did modify the sound by upping the bass. (I forget what they call it in the menu, but it really helped) So even though I had to send it back, and did replace it with another make, I did like this tv and felt it was by far a good deal for the money. And I do recommend it. I know I just got a bad one, or at least one that had a bad part. This tv had great reviews, and over 20,000, of which I read a good hundred of them before pulling the switch. Just a shame it had to be returned.;;Reviewed in the United States on June 4, 2020;;4.0 out of 5 stars;;Great TV for the price;;Joe49;;;I'm really not sure why this TV received so much negative feedback. I can only guess that since most, if not all reviews, were based on the 2018 model. Per the label on the back, mine is a March-2020 model. Maybe they made updates/corrections regarding the issues mentioned by some of the reviews? Anyway. This TV is excellent. Set-up is insanely fast, ease of use is unbelievable, and the picture/sound quality is some of the best in my experience. And for the price, this truly is a steal. Reason for the three stars overall - Bought on the 18th, four days later on the 22nd I see the price dropped $50. Amazon told me I could return this one and repurchase to get the lower price. But then there is a $99 UPS return ship fee. Amazon won't help with adjusting what I paid. Not my lucky day I suppose.;;Reviewed in the United States on May 22, 2020;;3.0 out of 5 stars;;Very pleased with this Smart TV, but....;;Dan Spulecki Sr;;;Review of Toshiba TF-55A810U21 55-inch Smart 4K UHD with Dolby Vision and DTS TruSurround TV - Fire TV Edition - Limited Version Purchase Date: 29 MAY 2020 Initial Review Date: 4 JUN 2020 Initial Impressions I had an older 49in TV which had a backlight failure, so I was looking for a TV of equal or slightly greater size. I found this TV on Amazon and took a shot on it. When it arrived, it was packaged quite well. I took it out of the box and plugged it in immediately after checking the screen with a flashlight for damage during shipment. The TV powered on and the screen was not broken; a good start. I mounted the TV (it includes the screws to do so and recommends an M6 screw on the back of the unit) and found out you cannot do this mounting on your own. I had to hold the TV while my son connected all the inputs into the back of it. This TV is bulky, weighing around 32lbs. I was afraid that I would break it trying to get it mounted. Thankfully, I didn’t. Once mounted, we turned on the TV and began the initial setup. I plugged in an ethernet cable into the back of the TV (Ethernet still provides more stability and speed than Wi-Fi) and waited as it updated twice. I signed into my Amazon account and then began exploring the picture quality of the TV Picture Quality My old set was a 1080p 49in TV without HDR. Even without 4k content, HDR makes a remarkable difference in the quality of the image, even in resolutions as low as 720p. Without seeing it in person it’s hard to adequately describe, but there is a sense of life in the image that wasn’t there prior. Not being familiar with it, I started to get a little motion sick; but once acclimated I began to appreciate just how much more detail HDR actually gives to an image; even in older movies. Certain elements in the foreground seem to pop out, making the image look almost three-dimensional. It’s a really neat effect which is enhanced even more when 4k content is played. Fire TV Software I’m not a fan of Fire TV, having owned an original device I found that it lacks storage and it doesn’t seem to have as much polish as its competitors. However, the implantation on this TV isn’t that awful. The TV itself has 4.27GB of storage with around 2.02GB available after installing a couple of apps (YouTube TV, Disney+, Hulu, Fandango Now, Netflix). I don’t have a terrestrial antenna hooked up to the TV so I cannot comment on those features but there is a channel guide that pulls its information from Pluto TV, which I thought was a pretty cool add; especially since Pluto TV is free to use. I’d like to see more integration sources such as YouTube TV or Sling, but Pluto TV has a lot of content in and of itself. The channel guide and other quick settings can be summoned by holding down on the home button. This works when playing content or when just at the main screen of the TV. I enabled CEC so that my other devices could control the TV, but I found out that my particular model of soundbar, connected to the optical port of the TV, is unable to be controlled by the TV remote. Bummer. I’m hoping that could be addressed in a future software update, but maybe my naïveté is showing. Conclusion This TV is an excellent value for the price. Its picture quality is astounding and the Fire TV software is neat, but not anything to write home about. I’m disappointed I can’t control my soundbar with the TV remote but the picture quality of the TV more than makes up for that shortcoming.;;Reviewed in the United States on June 4, 2020;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;HDR is an amazing technology;;Andrew T. Just a shame it had to be returned.

Awesome TV
I'm really not sure why this TV received so much negative feedback. Love it!

Very pleased with this Smart TV, but....
I think I made an excellent choice and I'm pleased with the picture quality, app selection, OTA program guide, etc. The Amazon default ads on Home page are annoying but we can deal with that. Reason for the three stars overall - Bought on the 18th, four days later on the 22nd I see the price dropped $50. Amazon told me I could return this one and repurchase to get the lower price. But then there is a $99 UPS return ship fee. Amazon won't help with adjusting what I paid. Not my lucky day I suppose.

HDR is an amazing technology
Review of Toshiba TF-55A810U21 55-inch Smart 4K UHD with Dolby Vision and DTS TruSurround TV - Fire TV Edition - Limited Version Purchase Date: 29 MAY 2020 Initial Review Date: 4 JUN 2020 Initial Impressions I had an older 49in TV which had a backlight failure, so I was looking for a TV of equal or slightly greater size. I’m disappointed I can’t control my soundbar with the TV remote but the picture quality of the TV more than makes up for that shortcoming.
