    • Weak and unimpressive coffee
I received the item fairly quickly, and being a person who travels to Europe quite frequently I wanted to have a machine that delivers good quality coffee and is able to froth milk. After having it set up and having used it twice, it stopped producing any coffee. I looked inside of the reservoir and it just ended up grinding up the coffee beans and sending it straight to the used coffee bin but not into the actual coffee-making part of it. So it sounded like it was making coffee but nothing was coming out. I literally wasted a bunch of good, expensive coffee beans that ended up being grinded and literally wasted. I checked it out, checked the mechanism, and then decided to use up what was ground up in the grinds reservoir to make coffee. The result was mostly water with a hint of coffee. When I made a cappuccino the first time after setting the machine up, the milk was not particularly frothy, so it was more like coffee with some milk, not cappuccino consistency. I will give it a few more days to see if things improve or not, if not, I will have to return it. ... show more

I see a few things that could be updated maybe reprogram. I would like to be able to turn off the hot plate. 2nd neededs a built-in clock for the machine will startup in the morning. Making great coffee and espresso

We replace a Jura with this new one at half the price. Coffee is very nice nothing lost there. The water tank on the back makes access a little more effort. Grinds empty is easy. We have had it a month. So far so good though. Just hope it lasts ten years like the last one. We have not used the frothed, we opt for a stand alone frother on the side due to ease of cleaning. ... show more

A beautiful unit. Looks exactly like I wanted it to look but it had glitches from the day one of use. Love the fact I was able to set the temperature of beverage and amount of milk etc. I think it’s a new product and it just needs some glitches fixed but it has a potential. Easy to use. My problem was that sometimes it would make a beautiful latte and sometimes didn’t make latte only steamed the milk, coffee did get grounded but it didn’t dispense the espresso into the steamed milk. I had to manually make espresso and add into it. That beats the purpose of this machine. I wasted a lot of coffee and decided to return. ... show more

    • COFFEE grounds spray all over the inside of machine
I purchased the ZULAY Kiitchen Magia AMPRO coffee machine on 7/25/2023 thru Amazon for my mom. I have had a great deal of experience with other automatic expresso/coffee machines. At first, I thought this was going to be a great machine. I loved the idea of being able to input the different milk/coffee quantities to make the perfect cup of coffee. After playing around with measuring milk/beans OUTSIDE of the coffee machine, and then inputting those measurements...the coffee machine is NOT accurate. It grinds the same amount of beans, it dispenses the same amount of milk (no matter what setting I choose). It has a mind of it's own. Lastly, and absolutely the MOST frustrating...is that there is a SECOND tray that is apparently supposed to collect some of the coffee grounds, in addition to the primary coffee waste bin. BTW, this is NOT mentioned anywhere in the description NOR the directions that come with the machine. Thus, I didn't even realize it was there until I was taking the primary waste bin out to empty it and I wasn't able to put it back in. Coffee grounds had sprayed out ALL over the inside bottom of the machine and those grounds were blocking my ability to push the primary waste bin back in. So, I pulled out the brew unit and found the 2nd waste bin that was overflowing. What a huge mess trying to get the coffee grounds out of the bottom of the machine. Finally, I took out the water tank, brew unit, waste bin, and dip tray...carried the machine outdoors...and with my BLOWER (yes that I use to blow dirt off of my patio), I blew the grounds out of the machine. I have only had the machine 10 days...there are TWO people drinking one cup of coffee per day (plus the few experimental cups I had made)----this machine was a mess. SO much wasted coffee and I use very expensive beans. I use DRY (not oily beans) per the instructions of ALL automatic coffee machines. After cleaning the machine, I made two lattes, and once again, pulled out the brew unit to look at the 2nd waste bin. I couldn't believe it...the coffee grounds had once again sprayed out all over the bottom of the machine. Believe me when I tell you that I made sure that all parts of the machine were perfectly cleaned and the waste bins were pushed ALL the way in. Unfortunately, I won't be able to keep this machine. WAY TOO much of a hassle to get a cup of coffee!! The coffee also just isn't up to par to what I had expected!! For all those wanting to invest in an automatic coffee machine and are trying to figure out which one to purchase, skip this one and skip the Phillips brand as well. :/ Sigh. I have ONE brand that is perfect at another location but I don't want this review to be disregarded because you think that I am trying to promote another brand. I should have taken pictures before I cleaned the ZULAY. Keep looking... ... show more

Update: had it less than a week. It completely stopped working. Emailed/called supprt. They had me send the unit back so they can troublesjoot. 3 weeks later..... I still haven't heard anything. I should've just gotten a refund.... Super easy to set up and use.. but.. and this is a big but... It only works 60% of the time. The other 40%, it just grinds coffee but doesn't produce a drink. Very frustrating and waste full of my coffee. 5 stars if it worked 100% of the time. But.. it doesn't. ... show more
