I'm using this with the Zoom H4n that I purchased as part of a package. The mic greatly improves the sound quality of the Zoom and filters out much of the background noise. In a properly soundproofed area, it does its part to produce broadcast-quality sound. Note that it doesn't have a bungee-type mount to reduce sounds coming from touching the base during recording, but I tend to record scripts so it is not an issue for me. The headphones are a little light but not inappropriate for this price range. The cord connecting the mic to the Zoom seems heavy and of decent quality. Note: I'm not an audiophile, but this seems like good quality equipment for the price. ... show more

Purchased two of these locally from Micro-center and have been using for over a year. Had to purchase when I saw this deal. One of the mics rattles when you move it as if something has broken of inside of it. Sound quality is still good though. The rattle still worries me though.
