Description

When selecting studio reference monitors for mixing and music production, one consideration takes precedence above all others - accuracy. Beginning with the legendary NS-10M, and continuing with the MSP and previous HS series, this new lineup shares a design philosophy that emphasizes sonic purity without any coloring or alternation of the original sound. While many manufacturers seek to enhance the sound of their monitors to make them sound impressive, Yamaha studio monitors are designed to achieve the best possible mix by ensuring that the sound from your speakers is true to the original. Hs series nearfield reference monitors are the embodiment of this philosophy, delivering a concise sound image, high resolution, and flat response.

    • Great quality and value, set up was super simple

Amazing monitors! The sounds is great and I use them for mixing and mastering music in my studio (still setting up). The quality is great. The speakers themselves are heavy and definitely not cheaply made. I payed $395 for them I think, which isn’t bad compared to other brands, but I know they can be as low as $300 during Black Friday and other promotional deals. The speaker function as intended and connection is stable. The are not huge, so you can easily place them where needed. And the sleek design is nice. ... show more

    • Clear, Honest Sound That Reveals Everything
Color: black Speaker Size: 6.5 Inches
I’ve been using these HS5 monitors for a little while now and I’m honestly impressed. The clarity is the first thing that stands out. You hear everything. Not just the obvious parts of a mix, but the subtle details like background noise, room tone, and small imperfections that regular speakers completely hide. The sound is very honest. They do not hype the bass or smooth things over. At first that can feel a little unforgiving, but that is exactly what you want from studio monitors. If something sounds good on these, it will translate well everywhere else. Build quality feels solid and professional. They look clean and simple, and they do not take up much space on a desk. Once positioned properly at ear level, the stereo image is excellent. It really does create that illusion that the sound is coming directly from the screen. These are not party speakers and they are not meant to be. They are tools. For voiceover work, editing, and critical listening, they are outstanding. If you want accuracy instead of boosted bass and flashy sound, these deliver. Very happy with the purchase. ... show more

    • Excellent studio monitors for mixing and mastering
Color: White Speaker Size: 5.0 Inches
These Yamaha HS5 monitors sound incredibly clear and balanced. The stereo image is precise, vocals are very detailed, and the low end is tight without sounding muddy. They helped me hear imperfections in my mixes much better compared to regular speakers. The white version also looks beautiful in the studio. Great build quality, clean design, and very reliable performance. Perfect for music production, mixing, vocals, piano, and mastering work. Highly recommended for anyone building a serious home studio. ... show more

    • Amazing speakers for the price
Color: black Speaker Size: 6.5 Inches
I recently picked up a pair of Yamaha HS5 speakers, and I couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase. As someone who values clear, accurate sound, these speakers have exceeded my expectations. The audio quality is phenomenal— crisp highs, balanced mids, and tight, punchy lows. Even at lower volumes, the clarity remains impressive, making them perfect for both casual listening and professional mixing. The build quality is top-notch. The design is sleek and minimalist, fitting seamlessly into my studio setup without being overpowering. The speakers are also surprisingly compact, which is great if you're working with limited space. What really stands out is the precision. These speakers offer an incredibly flat response, which is essential for mixing, and the accuracy makes it easier to judge my tracks. Whether you're a music producer, a content creator, or just someone who appreciates great sound, the Yamaha HS5 delivers excellent performance. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality studio monitor! ... show more

    • Great value and quality for monitoring application in home setting.
Color: White Speaker Size: 5.0 Inches
A bargain for the price, sound great and look great. Perfect size for living room desk-studio use. Not too obtrusive. Build seems premium. In no way do these seem like glorified computer speakers.

    • Sounds Great
Color: White Speaker Size: 5.0 Inches
Thought it would have been same size as my JBL 305p but it’s a bit smaller but sounds cleaner and more defined! Love it helps a lot for mixing in a small space.
