The JBL 305P MkII Powered 5" Two-Way Studio Monitor Bundle is a bi-amplified reference monitor with next-generation drivers, offering high detail, precise imaging, a wide sweet spot, and a remarkable dynamic range to enhance the mix capabilities of any modern workspace. The magnetically-shielded 305P MkII features dual 41W Class-D amplifiers, which power the 5" low frequency woofer and woven-composite 1" neodymium tweeter. The combined output of the woofer and tweeter offer a frequency response of 49 Hz to 20 kHz with a peak SPL of 108 dB. The monitor features JBL's Image Control Waveguide technology for accurate audio reproduction and JBL's Slip Stream port design for improved bass response. The 305P MkII is equipped with a boundary EQ for controlling the low frequency response when placed near a wall, as well as a 3-position HF trim switch. To ensure flexible connectivity, JBL included a balanced XLR input and a balanced 1/4" TRS input, both of which feature dented level control. This bundle includes a Studio Monitor Stands are durably constructed and designed to support studio monitors at the optimal listening position in professional and home recording studios.     • ARRIVED DAMAGED AND BROKEN!! *UPDATED 1/14/2020*
The seller had failed to tighten all of the clamps, with the stand in the collapsed position. Nor was the security pin placed and then taped or otherwise secured in place, as is standard with most equipment requiting security pins. This meant that, during shipping, the stand's smaller rod moved inside the hollow cylinder housing and slammed through the bottom disc, breaking the welds and popping it out. Since the bottom mounting hole is IN this disc, it rendered the stand 100% non functional. Additionally, one of the carpet spikes was machined improperly and will not thread through ANY of the discs, meaning you cannot secure the stand(s) either. In a high end audio system, the faiklure of a SINGLE part can compromise the inegrity of the ENTIRE system. I am VERY unhappy and wished I had never made this purchase, as I could have gone to a local music store and purchased undamaged items myself, for the price. finally, I am sure the manufacturer/seller will expect ME to pay ship[ping on these VERY heavy stands for refund so Im sure Im SOL. Caveat Emptor. (Delivered by FedEx overnight btw). Edit, 1/14/2020: I received two new stands today, unrequested, LOL. Upon arrival, the box had cylindrical holes in each corner where, AGAIN, the UNSECURED inner rods had moved during shipping and slammed against the packaging, tearing through it. Once opened, I saw that luckily, while the poor packaging and careless shipping DID injure the box and cause all of the small screws and hardware to come loose inside the package and rattle around, getting inside individually wrapped parts, and scratching the entire surface of the stands... Both stand tubes had intact mounting discs, so they were at least functional, unlike the last set. (this set also had a fully working set of carpet spikes, whereas the other had several improperly machined studs). 5 stars for service, one star deducted for experience and quality of final product. The shipper needs to be reprimanded for ignoring the "Fragile" stickers and the manufacturer needs to place the security pins in the closed tubes, tape them down, and tighten the pressure clamp, PRIOR to shipping. Either of these things would reduce injury to the product greatly...Both would eliminate it. ... show more
