Recently we discovered a veiled chameleon in our lanai, our enclosed (except for a doggie door) back porch. The poor thing was not doing well so we took it in, did some quick, extensive research and scrambled to get the things the little guy needed. Later one we found out that an individual was breeding things and was facing impending trouble so they released all of their stock into the wild. A lot of reptiles require feeding, and that usually involves crickets. This helps keep the crickets alive, healthy and packed with vitamins for our veiled chameleon. Unless you plan on making many small purchases to keep up feeding your reptile, this is something handy to have so that you can buy a large batch and get the most out of them. Before purchasing this product, I had been using Fluker's cricket food. It was made up of grain trash leftovers and the crickets did not seem to thrive on it. This Zoo Med product seems to be made of higher quality ingredients, and I see a higher cricket survival rate with it.

Although I'm having a hard time keeping my crickets alive for over two weeks when ordering 1000ct - housed in a 10gal aquarium with plenty of cover (Egg crates/papertowel rolls) and a supply of water beads, I guess they seem to like eating this food. Overall rating a C+
