This bedding is advertised toward snake owners, but is also an amazing bedding for gerbils! As far as I noticed, it genuinely has just about no dust. The aspen wood feels soft but also firm / capable of holding its shape !

I found that I had missed giving this a review. I used to buy this in the huge brown bags as I used to own East Coast Pythons & Reptiles & I went through a LOT of different brands & settled on this as my favorite of any of the Aspen beddings. There's a very light, clean natural scent that I found pleasant & one that's naturally supposed to be there. The chunks & pieces are perfect sized & nothing too sharp to hurt your pet or any useless pieces that you need to take out. It's absorbent & soft & very little if any dust. It's also easy for your pet to work with in making it's own paths or bed & The larger the bag you buy the better the price which really helped me out so if you like this one definitely take advantage of that deal! ... show more

I have had my corn snake for nearly 5 years now. I have tried several different types of bedding. This is the only one that is always worth it and always the best to buy. It is absorbent, but still dry for hiding. It retains its shape when your pet burrows. It’s cheap but still totally safe. Overall, this is my easiest go to whenever I choose bedding. I tried a lot of the ones my local pet shops have made with various results, but none as consistent as this bedding. 10/10 will buy forever. ... show more

It has been about 7 years that I have been using Zoo Med Aspen bedding and I won't any other brand. I think I tried 2 others when I wasn't able to get this brand and it was not pleasant. I have never had an issue with this brand and I love it for my snake. It's the absolute best in my honest opinion. Just make sure you get enough. I was revamping my tank with a moist moss zone and got the smaller 8qt bag which is still a lot but my snake likes to tunnel so I need to order some more. I think I will continue to get the 20 bag instead. I would highly recommend Zoo Meds Aspen bedding. ... show more
