Been using Zmodo for 5-6 years and they started not being as good at night and it was time to replace them. Daylight times are always good. 100% happy. Will buy them again as needed. Great price. Recommend people buy a DVR for 100% coverage or you are stuck with 15 second clips of movement.

Of the four pack, two worked great, one had very poor night vision, and one had significant issues with displaying appropriate colors. The company quickly provided replacements for the two malfunctioning cameras. Pros: --Easy to set up. --Easy to mount. --Sturdy enough. --The phone app has a screen that shows all four cameras at once. --The phone app has the option to immediately start recording. --The night vision is better than I expected for the price. --I can grant access to other users Cons: --It 100% requires an active internet connection (it will not function on a wifi network alone) --There is a lag. Normally, it's 3-4 seconds. At times, it's 3-4 minutes. I assume this is due to network speed issues somewhere between here and wherever their servers are based. --While I can see all four cameras at once on my small phone screen, the web app you can access from a computer will not. You can view only one camera at a time, and they frequently time out and must be reloaded. You would not be able to use this system to have a "live look" constantly up on a screen somewhere. --The web app does not have a button to start recording. --The web app makes me log in each time I open it. It won't "remember me". This is pretty annoying if the dog is barking and I want to take a quick peek to see what's up out there. ... show more

When recording, this camera system drops so many frames that there are huge gaps in the video where it just freezes on the last image it was able to capture. This is very poor quality recording, it's really not suitable for documentation. I thought this might be a Wi-Fi issue but I have a camera 3 feet from my router in the same room and the recording performance is the same as the other cameras which are located around the property. Since there is no disk storage in the camera, you are stuck with purchasing a $4.95 per month per camera cloud storage plan. $20 per month for the 4 pack. The cameras also drop off the network regularly and you have to cycle power to get them back. This might really present a problem if you have them installed in an inconvenient location. Plus, it seems to happen more frequently when the camera has detected motion, which is exactly the worst time because you will know something is going on but you won't be able to see it. The live picture quality and night vision are pretty good, but the network problems, playback freezing, and cloud plan requirements are a huge turnoff. The recordings you can make with this camera will likely not stand up to a challenge in court due to the video freezing problem. This means that the criminal will be able to get your video of their crime ruled inadmissible. Buy something a little bit better. An onboard SD card is a much cheaper and better solution. It's more reliable and you pay for the SD card with a few month's cloud fees. ... show more

The actual metal casing of this camera was broken. So the next camera I got out of the box was intact. I hung it up.
