The instructions were great and I quickly installed the carrier.It actually is sturdy and my overweight dogs(18lbs) fits really well.I love the mesh so my babies can see out and not be so afraid. The bottom insert is removable. This pet carrier makes a great bed for my dogs too.Overall it’s a very roomy dog carrier if you get the large size. Otherwise, this is a large carrier - it has purse-style handles and a shoulder strap, and can be opened via zippers at the end and the top to let the cat out of the bag.All for a very competitive price. Recommended!

I have two cats, both of which do NOT like to be in the solid plastic pet carrier I've used before to carry them together; it is big enough to fit a big dog, but offers very little in the way of comfort, and they really can 't see much through the air holes, so they do NOT like it, and basically fight me tooth and nail when enclosed. However, part of that problem is being enclosed together, as they spat a lot in the house! So, I decided to try using a cat carrier designed for just one cat, which would be smaller, of course, but also much easier for me to handle. This particular carrier caught my eye, as it would fit either of my cats, but it was also see-through, and they wouldn't be rattling around in a hard plastic cage that wasn't comfy or even safe-feeling to them. I ordered and got this carrier, and TBH, neither cat enjoyed being put in it, but at least they fit nicely in it--separately, of course! The pad on the bottom comes off to be washed when necessary--yup, my cats tend to spray when they are upset! However, this carrier is easy for me for carry with just one cat in it, and has zippers for opening and closing, which is better than a hard plastic door. All in all, this should make my life a little easier when dealing with having to take one of my cats anywhere. I have to admit that the pictures in this Amazon offering show cats which look a whole lot happier than mine do when in a carrier! Oh, well, they may be cranky but I AM their human!

I have one of the hard plastic carriers and when you put a cat in it, it just gets heavier. Plus, my cat really doesn't like that she can't see out. I put her in this one and she laid down and started purring. I like that there are 2 zippers for every opening, and each zipper has clips that fasten together. So if you have an escape artist, they can't move zippers apart and get out. I also like that you can put your cat in from the end or the top. The bottom of it is a firm plastic with a little bit of padding. The padding is plastic like the stuff that pads things that come in the mail. Very thin and bendable. The pad folds in the middle so you can store it I guess. That then has a cover that can be taken off and washed. The body of the carrier has a strip of velcro that velcro on the bottom of the pad sticks to. You can carry the carrier by the handles or it has a shoulder strap. The wide straps are sewn well and seem sturdy. This should make taking my cat to the vet much easier!

This carrier is super easy to put together. You simply shake out the poles, insert them along the sides in the liner pockets, and you're done. I was surprised at how high quality this carrier felt. Even though I would expect it to be sturdy because it's supposed to carry a cat or small dog, I didn't expect it to be *that* sturdy. I haven't tested it with a 20lb pet, but I could easily see how this carrier would be able to handle that with no problem. The material and stitching are high quality. It also has a handle on the top of the bag, as well as a long strap to carry on your shoulder, much like a traditional gym bag, so you have options depending on the weight of your pet. My cat isn't a fan of it, but that's mostly because she has an attitude in general. I would recommend this if you want an option that's more convenient and portable than a traditional crate.

This is a handy bag; lots of mesh to enable us to see our pets as they are transported. We don't travel much any more but we make frequent trips to the Vet office. We have several travel cases that are designed for shipping animals; they are heavy. These lightweight travel bags are great; we can fit two of our smaller female cats in this bag or one of our bigger male cats. It does require some assembly, and the instructions leave some room for improvement, but it only took a few minutes out of the box, ready to carry our pets. With both top and end openings, loading a pet will have some options. We're pleased with the quality of the bag for the price. It will come in handy to transport our pets to see the Vet. If you want a sturdy, lightweight travel bag, this is a good one.

I'm really happy with this pet carrier! It's super light-weight — I'd say it feels like it weighs less than a pound, but I didn't actually weight it. While it can fold up practically flat, when it's all set up it's sturdy! Good seams, good zippers, and I particularly like that the zippers have little latches on them to make sure they can't separate by mistake. This is a good size carrier for cats up to about 10lbs who like a lot of space. My 15lb cat could probably fit in, too, but he would definitely have to lie down all the time. All of the sides are sturdy mesh -- I would certainly never worry about a pet suffocating in there! Might be a little cold at cooler times of year, but I tend to cover any carrier in winter anyway. Highly recommended!

This review is for the ZLONG soft side large cat carrier. This is a very nice quality, collapsible pet carrier. It was easy to set up with a soft floor and poles to give it rigidity. The top and one end zip open for easy entry. The mesh is strong but easy to see thru. My kitty doesn't mind being in it. This is a great item to have whether you take you pet on trips or just the occasional trip to the vet. You can also disassemble it for easy storage. It fit well for an 8 pound cat and an 18 pound one (a little snug) comes with a carry handle and shoulder strap. The old pet box is going in the garbage.
