Here's why: 6 burners including one simmer - same as I had on my Thermador The center grill flips to a flat top - Thermador I had to pick one or the other (I had the flat top) Continuous grates over burners - yup, same We are remodeling and my 15 year old Thermador had gradually died and they stopped making parts. Actually broke my heart to replace it - loved it for the most part and the star burners are hard to beat. ZLine kept popping up when searching, both online and in-person at various stores, from big box to specialty kitchen shops. The price also is a huge plus - took me months of debate because how could the price match quality I had. It has. So far. I'm not years into this, I'm a couple months. Already it has more features I actually PREFER over my previous high end....The clean up is easier. The surface wipes down much better and I do not have to unscrew things to remove the center flat top/grill for cleaning. The flip the middle is huge - I get both flat top and grill. The controls are as expected, the grates are as well. Any negative? The click until ignite is a bit obnoxious. Not bad just obnoxious. The center - whether grill or flat top - generally works mostly in the middle - an oval section - based upon where the flame actually resides. The whole thing will get warm over time, but the even cooking happens in the center. So far so good - impressive for money - looks impressive too so if you have a house where you need something that looks high end for re-sale this is not a bad option. ... show more

I am very impressed with Zline. The stovetop works great along with the hood that is extremely quiet and moves a lot of air. This company has great customer service in our experience. We also purchased the dishwasher and it is extremely quiet, and does a great job cleaning our dishes. Highly recommend this company. ... show more
