It comes in a very long box and a little heavy. Instructions were diagrams only but the whole thing is self explanatory. Took my husband and I about 30 minutes to put together but only because I wanted pictures as we were going. I did use the "tape" they sent for noise but they send alot so I have leftovers if I need to add any later. It fits nice and snug into our existing regular frame. We needed to eliminate the box springs so the bed would be lower for our company to sleep on. We get our first guests in 2 weeks so I will try to remember to update how sturdy and quiet it is. I was ready to buy a platform bed frame and not use the legs for this old wooden bed. I then found this and couldn’t be happier. It fits perfect on the frame. We secured it with zip straps.

This was exactly what we were looking for. We were looking for something easy to move and store but something that would be sturdy and comfortable for our bed. Our box spring wasn't cutting it. It made our bed too tall and was really loud whenever we would get in bed. It would wake our newborn baby up every time we would try to crawl in bed. After carefully reviewing, I chose this one even thought it is $25.00 more expensive than a very similar and quite possibly the same bunkie board as another listed on Amazon because of the reviews. HOWEVER, I was more than disappointed.... First of all, the center support bar is too short! The holes dont line up so you can only attach it w/ the provided screws on 1 side! 2nd of all, this is too small for a queen frame on the sides. It does not sit within the frame of the bed like it is supposed to. ... show more

I bought this to replace (not enough) bed slats BUT it wasn’t wide enough to rest on the side bed frame. So instead of taking it apart and returning, I decided to sit it on the existing slats for more stability. And it’s raised my mattress by 2.5 inches.

    • this turned my cheap bed frame into a great foundation!
While re-doing our bedroom I wanted a better mattress so we got a purple bed. It worked fine on the old large bed frame but I wanted something sleeker so I ordered a pretty platform bed frame with gray linen headboard and sides. It was not expensive (under $200.00) and the purple bed was so heavy that the six legs were soon breaking off. My husband tried fixing them several times and he's very handy. To no avail! It got to be pretty comical when he made new legs out of 4x4's and They kept detaching themselves. I was ready to order another bed frame and just do away with this one. I went on Amazon and this frame popped up and I had a lightening bolt moment. So I ordered it and when it came (A day late) we went to work. My husband added some braces along the side of the bed to make things a little stiffer on the cheap frame and the bonus was the it made the mattress slightly higher and much easier to make as the purple mattress is heavy. Now, if I need to move the bed for any reason, it does not fall apart in the process. Another bonus is I can clean under the bed without running in to all those legs. There are only 4 now so it's so much easier. And the bed is not so low now that it feels like you're getting up off the floor. This Bunkie Board was the answer for us!     • Didn’t fit despite correct measurements

I assembled the entire thing. I tried to lay it on my bed frame but it is less than a centimeter too large (despite measuring my bed frame meticulously before ordering). I’m so disappointed. I have a bad back and it’s just not worth taking it apart and shipping it back.

    • Great For Elderely Beds

Bought to lower my mothers bed so it was easier to get in and out of with the removal of the box spring. It works great for her. I used the bubble wrap from the packaging to separate the bed frame from the support to stop metal rubbing and squeaks between the 2 frames. I also zip tied the two together so it would not move around. I did have to zip tie a fabric pad to the top of the support frame to stop the bed mattress from easily sliding around on the support. That would be a recommendation I think the manufacturer should offer otherwise when you sit on the bed it moves too easy. If you do the above during install it works very well. ... show more
