Assembly is not too bad if you are good with picture instructions and attention to detail. Instructions had no text and you have to pay close attention the the orientation of pieces in the pictures (which side is forward, which way the bolt is going, etc.) It looks nice even though there were some scratches to the paint. It's not very noticeable once the bedding is in place. You could probably touch it up if you want. Our mattress slid around a lot when we first put it on but an anti-slip rug pad fixed it 100%. Didn't really creak at the beginning but after several months it does. Maybe tightening the bolts would help but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Overall, it's a good purchase if you're looking for a sturdy, inexpensive bed frame.

I bought this bedframe because I wanted a sturdy platform so I could get rid of my boxspring and I'm so happy I did. My boyfriend says the bed is addictive now. It has made the mattress so comfortable you don't want to get out of it. It took a little over an hour to assemble with 2 people. You may want a small mallet to help with the brackets on the headboard as they are a little tough to line up perfectly but other than that it was pretty straightforward. Once its together it doesn't move or shake. Very sturdy and a nice sitting height. I would definitely buy it again

Easy to put together, simple and minimalist design. I do love the amount of space in the bottom and it makes almost no noise (yay for no squeaking). But only giving it 4 stars as it came with instructions & parts for ANOTHER version of their bed frame (it was H4001/02-C; but the box stated H4001-18). Luckily, the other bed frame is close to the one I actually ordered so the instructions were still semi-helpful and I had spare parts from other previous projects that helped me actually finish this (as I'm a DIY-er). I can see people overcoming the wrong instructions since it's a simple design, but the wrong parts would have been way more annoying to deal with, especially as someone would have to go to their local tool store to just get the missing machine screws.

I was very hesitant to buy a bed online without having touched it or seen it. I took the leap and assembled this bed to hold our new king size nectar mattress. We are 3 weeks in and it is incredibly sturdy. I have not heard a sound from it and it supports the mattress well without a box spring. Our five year old had jumped on it and it didn’t flex or squeak. It was difficult to find a frame that could support the weight of mattress, me,my husband, sometimes our daughter and our 90 pound Doberman, because most frames only support 500 pounds. This frame has supported the weigh without issue and has given our bedroom a nice updated look. I am so excited with how much I love this bed!

I'm truly baffled by the headboard design. Step 1-3 of the instructions wants you to thread a screw between cross beams and the headboard center and side supports. To do this, you need to thread the screw through both a coupling cuff, built into the center support but a separate piece for either sides, AND the cross beams. The screws provided can be screwed into EITHER the coupling cuff OR the cross beams individually, but when you put the two pieces together now the screw must be threaded through TWO flush sheets of metal. To accommodate this, the thread of the screw would need to be TWICE as wide as it currently is. As a result, screwing these pieces together is impossible. The manufacturer could've widened either hole to not requiring rotation for insertion because the bolt will be secured with a nut behind anyway but in the configuration this arrived in assembly of the headboard is impossible. EDIT: My above frustration was due to a typo in the instruction sheet. Step 1-3 says to use 6 of the S bolts (S*6) but after moving past this step and proceeding with assembly I found that the S bolts are actually used in steps 2 and 5. When I had completed all other steps, I still had 6 L bolts unused and wouldn't you know, those fit perfectly into the headboard section. Leaving this initial review in case others run into the same issue.

***Four months in and all is well. I’m buying a second one for another room. Assembly - I only cursed once. And that was about the directions written so small. Otherwise, I liked it and I did it alone. Parts - seem solid. They weren’t all labeled correctly. Fortunately, nothing that was too hard to figure out. Loved the fold out side bars, they made this seem simple. Feels stable. No squeaking. I’m not regretting the purchase on day 1. We’ll see where we are in 6 months.

Day one was already swirling by the third week of use the leg broke on the bed. I only sleep by myself and I’m only about 220 lbs. very disappointed and absolutely no help from Amazon with getting a replacement. Not worth the extra hassle. Do not buy . I loved the height of the bed. And being able to store bins under is perfect but it is broken and now I can’t use it or get a refund. Complete waste of my money
