When I ordered it I had no idea what size the box would be. I have worked at furniture stores for years and seen a lot of bed frames that are big and hard to deal with setting them up. This one is the best I have ever put together. It is so well enginiered it took less than 20 minutes to finish setting it in place. It presents itself very well and the fact that you can adjust the frame to fit the box spring to hold it in place is different than most. The metal is very smooth, and strong and sturdy .     • Good base for your box spring or metal foundation
I previously bought a king size base or foundation or whatever they call it from a different company and then realized that I needed a legs or some stand to put the frame on. So I bought this thing and then tried to insert my frame into or on top of this base that has legs. Well it was pretty touch and go and I ended up wiring with 12 gauge wire the two pieces together at junction points. Kind of a headache but it works. Wish they would sell a foundation with real integrated legs so I wouldn't need this frame which I but because it has good legs. ... show more

    • Very Sturdy and Easy to Assemble
We have a Cal King platform bed that sits pretty low so we just wanted to elevate our mattress by a few inches. We chose this 4 inch Ziyoo steel box spring and it has turned out to work perfectly for us. It comes partially assembled but the four corners and center rail have to be attached with the supplied screws and nuts. The hardware kit includes a hex wrench for the screws and a small 9mm wrench for the nuts. If you happen to have a 9mm socket wrench that would make the job a little easier. Do not buy this bed frame. We are both under 200 pounds and the frame all broke in the middle in under 4 months.

My bed slats were falling apart, and my mattress was sinking, but I couldn’t afford to replace the entire bed. I decided to remove the wooden slats and use this bed frame instead, and it fit perfectly. Setup was simple, and I only needed tools to attach it to the headboard.
