This style sputnik chandelier is amazing in photos, and is every bit as amazing in person. We purchased the smoked glass version, and couldn't be happier. We installed a dimmer switch, and installed the seller's recommended long tube bulbs (LED Edison filament style in 2700k color), and whether the lights are on full-bright or candle-light dimmed, it is ridiculously gorgeous. The quality is top notch. All chrome is metal and solid. All triangular spikes are glass, you can see through them one end to the other. Since ours are smoked, they aren't supposed to be 'clear' transparent. Instead, they appear (mirror-like) reflective, yet somewhat see through. Really an amazing combination. Super glad the lamp is hard wired (controlled only by light switch), with no ballast or power regulator/transformer. No remote control to lose or break. After hanging, make sure to wear a pair or white cotton gloves or use a micro-fiber cloth, to wipe fingerprints. Enjoy! ... show more

I never write reviews but I thought this chandelier warranted it. I am selling my house and wanted to remove my existing chandeliers and replace them with something cheaper that I wouldn't mind leaving behind. I bought this one and was surprised how expensive it looked and felt. The spikes are really heavy and don't feel cheap at all. It's absolutely fantastic! I love this light fixture. It was just the right amount of glam that can go with high bling decorations to contemporary modern. I hired an electrician to install and it took him 30 to 45 minutes. Make sure you order right light bulbs because that adds to the design. The bulbs are very bright so if you want, you can have a dimmer installed.
