Marine lighters are created using Zippo's various imprint methods; color image, laser engrave, auto engrave deep carve and emblem. Each lighter has a bottom stamp signifying the year it was made, is refillable, and is backed by Zippo's famous lifetime guarantee. All windproof lighters are American made in our Bradford, PA factory and come packaged in a gift box.

I got this as a birthday gift for a friend of mine that used to be in the Marines. It came in a nice box, perfect for wrapping. The brushed steel is great but it only covers the front and back. The edges are shiny so they get smudged pretty easily. It looks really nice too, I was worried that it might have a "cheap" look to it but it doesn't. I've had this lighter for about a year and use it almost everyday. As a Zippo lighter, it performed great. The overlay looks good as well but just don't drop the lighter. I'm pretty good about not dropping lighters but I did drop this one last week on the linoleum floor in the kitchen and the top overlay popped off. The adhesive did not hold. I would have expected that on a harder surface but linoleum has a little bounce. So, if you get one of these, do not drop it. ... show more
