  • Fire!
Style: Butane Color: Chrome Double Torch
Great insert with a solid useable flame. Seems to be durable and of high quality. Fitment is perfect in a standard Zippo case. Only downside is that it seems to have a relatively low butane capacity, so it doesn't last too long. Works great though!

  • Looks great,works perfectly,easy to use.

The media could not be loaded. Great quality, works perfectly, lasts quite awhile and doesn’t need refueling that often.Takes like 15 seconds to refuel and hasn’t broken in the past year. The design is great, doesn’t leak and produces a perfect flame.

  • Zippo Rides Again! Step into the modern era.
Style: Butane Color: Blue Double Torch
I put this in a yellow zippo case and it looks amazing. Let's face it liquid fuel in a zippo reached its zenith WWII. They always had a certain level of kool but the odor, the gas evaporates, and constant need to fill the reservoir. This butane lighter insert brings the zippo into 2026 and going forward. If I were Zippo this is the only way I would sell the lighter. Went to walmart over the weekend they don't sell zippo lighters or the fuel. Next add a widow so you can see the level of fuel in the lighter. Release the insert with multitude of colors and patterns just like the outside of the lighter. Zippo can be modern and kool. Take a page from the Stanley Cup people. Best of Luck - Zippo ... show more

  • Minor flaws keep it from being perfect
Style: Butane Color: Yellow Flame
This is the dream insert for weed-smokers or pipe users as it essentially converts your Zippo into a glorified Bic lighter. Yes, the pipe insert exists but I didn't find the design or flame good for my needs. This butane lighter insert, however, creates a softer, vertical yellow flame and can still be used for other lighter-based purposes. For the most part, you get what you ask for here. It seems sturdy and well-made, with a large (albeit non-adjustable) flame and a good amount of storage space for butane fluid. There are some minor issues, however, that keep this from being as good as the classic insert. 1) Non-adjustable flame. This, for the most part, is not an issue for me as I like a larger flame. It also ensures that any quality butane fluid should create a good flame here. But some folks have expressed complaints about this already. 2) Stubby button. For how compact the lighter is it makes sense that the button wouldn't take up much space, but you will struggle at times to quickly light it. It also doesn't have gradual pressure - it's on or off. 3) Poor fit inside Zippo cases. I've seen the armor cases fail to hold these inserts, but my regular case struggles too. It is a slightly loose fit and will over time slide out of the case. I may slide a piece of paper in with it to alleviate this problem. 4) Plastic piece on cam means less "buy it for life" value than the classic insert. The material quality is overall very good, but there is one glaring problem with the exterior construction: the plastic piece under the cam that replaces the metal spring on the classic Zippo insert. It seems like a basic part, but if you're like me you're constantly playing and fidgeting with your Zippo case - a plastic piece is going to wear out over time and I foresee issues with the cam in the future the more I use it. That said, this merely turns a buy it for life tool into a buy it for many years tool. Anyways, I'm mostly happy with it because it's a great refillable alternative to Bic lighters, letting you have a bit more personality when smoking without sacrificing much. I'm glad Zippo brought these onto the market. ... show more

  • Throw away the Bic and opt for sustainable
Style: Butane Color: Yellow Flame
The main issue I had previously with Zippos were that there is a taste from the traditional oil that can alter inhalation purity. These refillable butane inserts eliminate the need to worry. Though they do not last as long as a Bic disposable lighter they have a larger flame and can easily be refilled. Though the larger flame may not be as convenient for cigarettes, it can be quite useful for pipes. ... show more

  • Works great! At first, then the trigger stiffens and irs awful.
Style: Butane Color: Yellow Flame
At first it was working great. A month later it's gone on the "piece of htsi lighter pile". Lemme explain why. So zippo has been making lighters since 1932 bur they somehow didn't think to make the bottom to release gas as large and high up as possible to decrease the amount of time your thumb takes from striking the flint to releasing gas resulting in misfires. This problem got worse over a month of daily usage to a point where I got what I can only describe as "zippo thumb" and my entire thumb was hurting all bloody day. Basically what's happened is for some reason the button to release the gas went from tolerable and striking every time to now desperately flicking the thing 7-igiveup times to get any fire and requires a lot of strength on a tiny, greasy slippery nub that desperately wants to go back into resting position screw you and your smoke break. I expected WAY more from zippo. This isn't hard to get right it's clear as day that they could have made the gas release button stick out more for more leverage and raised it up higher so your hitting the gas before the spark is gone and hey maybe not make the gas release button from slick bloody chrome!!! It's profoundly stupid. Why it doesn't have a grippy finish I have no idea it needs some skateboard tape or something. People that are giving this a good review need to use it a couple times a day for a month and it starts to seize up and hurt your thumbs like mario party 64 but way worse it's quite painful. Zippo needs to iterate on this, they strike me as quite the lazy company. The stiffness of the button needs work but would be hugely mitigated by an overall larger gas release button. You can see how little there is to grab on to and if you have large hands forget it. Sure it doesn't leak but If I feel like I just slammed my thumb in a car door all day because of this pos we have traded one product breaking issue for another (vs thunderbird et al). They could hire me and I could solve this before lunch time and so could you, how hard is it to make the button bigger?! Just go and buy the cheapest zippo MPL mini(multi purpose lighter) you can find, not the large one it hurts your thumb too ffs. The mini is perfect though, had I know it existed when I bought this thing I wouldnt have bought this thing. There are no good options for making your zippo into a butane lighter that last more than a month if you actually plan to use it. MPL mini by zippo, it's not a zippo-zippo but it's a reliable, refillable, kinda big but not too big soft flame butane lighter by zippo. The one I got was half the price of this dumb piece of junk waste of 13 bucks and it's all metal and looks pretty nice. Get the graphite colored one the others are all kind of ugly colors imo. As for this insert, to quote t "The Critic" It STINKS! ... show more
