Overall I like this product. The finished frame is sturdy and does what it is designed for. I had a problem with assembly because one of the provided machine screws had a slightly undersized head which made it difficult to drive completely. I had to use extra pressure to drive it in. Two of the holes were not tapped well making it difficult to insert the screws without partially stripping the threads. Despite these problems the finished frame is sturdy. I was impressed that a small ratchet was provided to drive the screws, but I had to resort to my own larger ratchet to drive some of the screws because of the problems mentioned above. The parts were well labeled. The printed instructions were adequate but the typeface was small making it difficult to read the instructions. All in all if you work carefully and slowly you can assemble a finished product that should look nice, be sturdy, and last for a long time. ... show more

I bought this frame in August of 2021. Honestly, It sat in its box in a corner until 2 weeks ago Nov 2022 because I was really dreading the assembly of the frame. My experience of assembling products as a single female is that instructions are often Written poorly and parts are sometimes missing and it takes a lot longer to assemble because I’m doing it by myself. So when I purchased my fabulous Zinus mattress I set aside a half day to assemble the frame. Silly me! The instructions were Perfection! The hardware was perfectly packaged and sorted into compartments that made it EXTREMELY EASY to match with the clear and very visual instructions. I put it together by myself in 45 minutes. I wish I’d done it months ago! Seriously I cannot express what a positive experience it was and the bed frame is a high Quality product. I expect to enjoy it for years to come. I bought the Zinus 12 inch green tea mattress and together they have changed my quality of sleep and life! Thank You Zinus! What a truly wonderful experience!! ... show more

It was easy to assemble!!! It says 2 people to build it, but I was able to do it alone. Came with a nifty tool which helped make the process easier and faster. Instructions were easy to follow. You really don't need the box spring. I did put box and mattress over it and it was ok, but it was too tall for my son's room and him. Mattress stays put, rails are quiet and sturdy no wobbling, but it's the first day. Overall, it's sturdy and love the space underneath. Packaged with care and attention. Very stable and quiet. This eliminates any need for a box spring with a spring mattress. I had a foam mattress before with an appropriate frame. Didn't think it mattered when i bought this new spring mattress. It does. This frame could work for either, but foam mattress frames at no good for spring mattresses. This platform bed arrived quickly. Upon opening the box, it appeared that all parts were there. However, I quickly realized that one of the center supports was missing. In its place, I had an extra side piece. When I followed the directions on Amazon for the missing part, they had me contact the Zinus company for the missing part. Zinus, however, wanted me to contact Amazon. As you can see, this is a circular arrangement that would not end well. Finally, Zinus agreed to replace the part. I will leave this 1 star review until I actually receive the missing part. Until then, I have rigged it to work with the incorrect piece, a piece of wood to support it, and a slew of zip ties. Update - after 10 days, this missing piece arrived. All is well. ... show more

I love the design of this frame. The instructions where so easy to fallow my 4 year old helped me put it together. The tool they provide was a life save! A must have! Keep it safe made putting the bed together so much easier some screws where a bit stubborn and learning the tool had its learning curve but over all I love love this frame. All the pieces necessary were included for assembly - that's a plus since it doesn't always happen....the picture sheet of instructions were very clear and easy to follow....we are seniors so it took some time to put together, but got the job done! It seems very sturdy and the 14" height allows for good storage under the bed, or hiding spot for our cat ;-)...would definitely recommend this product - thank you ... show more
