I bought this product when it was on sale over Memorial Day for about $110. I was hesitant because of the reduced price point (always be skeptical of a sale!) and many reviews which mentioned its lackluster sturdiness, but overall I have been pleased with the bed frame. Things I liked: 1) The price point. I searched for 2 months for a simple wood platform bed with good reviews. The sale price on this was outstanding. 2) The look. I originally wanted the espresso, but bought the cherry (it was the only one available during the sale). Honestly, glad I did. It's lovely. Unlike most cherry wood finishes, it's not a deep red. It's closer to a walnut. It adds warmth to my bedroom and I intentionally make my bed to let the frame peek out. It's also real wood with a finish! A steal! 3) Ease of assembly. It took me less than an hour to put it together the first time around. I actually moved the bed and reassembled it last month; it only took me 15 minutes the second time around. Went together cleanly and quickly again (which is a relief! this isn't like IKEA furniture where if you take it apart after building you're screwed!). Will also note the frame itself is relatively light and easy to lift and move. It's not a perfect product, but I would give it a 4.5/5 stars. Beautiful, easy to assemble, and has proven durable (albeit it's just me, a 6', 180lb man sleeping on it, without any midnight guests or adult activity partners...). ... show more

I love everything about this bed! The color was perfect, it was beautifully packaged and very easy to assemble. I would highly recommend this bed to anyone. I did have one issue which was quickly resolved. While unpacking the bed, I found that the headboard was damaged. Since everything was packed so well, this must have happened in production. When I contacted the seller, I expected to just be sent a new headboard. However, I was told that the entire bed would be picked up and a new one delivered. The headboard had been on the very bottom so I had to repack the entire box and it was not pretty. You may want to take pictures as you unpack, just in case. That being said, I received the replacement within a couple days and all was well. ... show more

I'm a researcher---and I don't like spending money on stuff that is misrepresented, and I'll sure as heck send it back. I travel around a lot because of education and work--so my "bed frame" was a cheap wallyworld metal frame that a nice mattress sat upon. Looked terrible, but there it is. This bed was extraordinarily affordable, which gave me pause. It came in a huge, long cardboard container---and was packed so carefully I was annoyed at how much wrapping I had to undo. So it came in pristine condition. I laid out all of the pieces, which are marked clearly with numbers and letters, all of the hardware is in a packet that has corresponding numbers and letters. EASY PEASY. The pieces all fit together without any further "modification" and I had it together within an hour by myself. All tools included. The finish is very nice. I got the Rustic Pine---and it is NICE. Not too dark, not blonde...just a golden, creamy color much like honey oak but a little more ash. My decor is mission---and this is why I chose this bed. It fits perfectly. I am 5'6" and weigh 145lbs. I have not had a squeak, creak, or wobble. Not one. I have a 110 lb dog that jumps up, so a second "person" is also on the bed. No movement. No cracking or breaking or nonsense like these others are saying. ***first off, please be specific about your weight and activities when you claim the bed "broke and cracked". I can guarantee---you're putting >500lbs onto this bed and then expecting it to act like a steel frame while you do tandem acrobatics. It's nonsensical from what I see in this frame---especially if you're of a healthy weight. If you want to put >500lbs or even close to that on a frame....BUY A STEEL FRAME. There is a nice 8 inch clearance underneath where I have stored several suitcases and some other items. The height of the bed is PERFECT for me--I can imagine it may seem a little low for someone over 6', but otherwise, it's just a nice height. I've had the bed for a month now---and I stand by my initial impression---STURDY (when you're not putting a 2 ton wrecking ball to it) and very pretty. Easy construction and very clear instructions on how to do that. For those that are gonna sit there and measure the distance between slats....seriously. You need to focus that energy on solving world hunger. Really. Seriously. Nobody actually cares. I would buy this again for an additional room if/when I have one. I needed a small bed and just couldn’t find anything decent on CL or used. I finally did a search here and quickly found exactly what I’d been looking for. I bought the antique espresso dark color. It was delivered without any issues or damage, and it was really heavy when all boxed up. It’s a perfect match for the rest of the room. Assembly took about an hour and all of the parts, screws and tools were included. I’m impressed with the sturdiness…I was concerned that might be wobbly or squeaky but it’s neither- it quiet and sturdy. I’m really happy with this bed frame! ... show more

When the box arrived, the cardboard was battered and torn in several places. Fortunately, it was just an outer box and the product was well protected inside an inner cardboard box that showed no damage. Additionally, there was plenty of Styrofoam packaging inside (wrapped in plastic so very little loose pieces) to provide extra protection. Assembly was pretty simple with hardware and tools provided. The bed was packed so well, they even pack the styrofoam individually so there’s no messy clean up. Went together perfect and so well constructed. It had zero knicks, dents, and the color is beautiful. The strips for adhesive on the rails were the only issue, one rail strip was upside down so when we placed the mattress it only adhered to the bottom.
