The parts are clearly labeled to make assembly fool proof. You connect joints labeled 1 with their peer joint also lableld 1. Repeat. The picture guide is outstanding. My only hiccup was a screw did not want to go in. I found that the sticker labeling the part had loosened and was covering part of the female connection. They provide spare screws, a hex wrench and a ratchet hex wrench. A step up wou;ld have been to deliver a ratcheting torgue wrench to help ensure customers do not over tighten screws. The cover that covers the frame even has a tag on the corner that helps you orient the cover over the width/length dimensions. Although a small detail, that was extremely helpful (think of a fitted mattress pad or fitted sheet - guessing which sheet corner matches to which matrress corner!). The wood slats have a strip of velcro stapled to them and the bed frame has a matching strip, The velcro on the slats has gaps between slats to help space them out. The box tha arrived and was pretty beat up, I think every seam had additional tape. It was clear the box had been abused. But, it didn't really matter. The packaged goods made good use of the metal frame to protect the cover and the wood slats. Multiple zip ties kept it all assembled safely for shipping and samonsite gorrilla abuse. ... show more

I am a retired single woman putting this together upstairs by myself. It was a pleasure and a snap! It is so intuitively made that instructions are hardly needed. I purchased this one after looking at many and reading lots of negative reviews of other ones made by this same company. For just a little more money this one seems to be far better than lesser expensive ones with many bad reviews. I am really surprised at how good this seems to be and appreciate the workmanship! We bought a full-size metal box spring with wood slats two months ago. We liked it so much, I decided to update another bed with a new box spring, this time for a queen bed. Assembly was the same and went quickly. Parts fit exactly and tightly. The wood slats are attached to velcro strips, which makes it so simple to lay them in place. Spacing is just right to support a quality foam mattress. Now, the covering, which is rather nice, completely covers both sides of the full-size box spring. It zips closed for a tight fil. However, for the queen size, the cover only covers the top and sides. Sewn-in elastic, like on a fitted sheet, is supposed to pull it tight. It doesn't, and it is impossible to tuck it under all around to give a tight fit and look. One star deducted for the cover. ... show more

Heavy, but I was able to move and assemble by myself. The included ratchet wrench is a clever tool that made the job simple. The frame is very sturdy and does not creak. Adding the wood slats takes a bit of patience but I figured it out pretty quickly. The cover offers a nice finish that looks like a traditional box spring. Excellent value. Needed a box spring to go with new bed and mattress and took a chance on this one. I was not disappointed when it arrived. Extremely well built and assembly was fast and extremely easy. The pieces fit together perfectly. Installing the attachment screws was simply especially with the included ratchet. The wooden slats with Velcro attached in seconds as well.
