The bed is GREAT. Extremely solid, no wobble and no squeaking. It's also VERY heavy, but I consider that a good thing. As for the instructions, they look simple and there's a CGI video but there's a lot you need to figure out. To save you the trouble: Our mechanical Allen wrench/ratchet didn't work. Thankfully, there is a spare L shaped one in the container with the screws. Though the instructions show the parts by letters, they are not labelled on the pieces. Only the connections labelled with numbered stickers. This makes it very easy to get the connections right. The only part that was a bit confusing was the wood going into the head board slats. Just ensure the decorative side of the wood with the grooves is flush with side metal pieces. The smooth side of the wood is the back and it is recessed slightly in the metal frame. The instructions must be older because the wood screws into 4 metal 'tabs' but the instructions make it look like 2 long tabs. You'll know it when you see it. Everything lined up easily and all the screws fit easily. All screws are labelled and there are extras. BUT you will need at least 2 people, preferably 3, as you'll have to prop up some sides while putting it together. For ours the head board posts would not slot into the base without some series elbow grease. For the first step, you'll need to UNSCREW the nuts that the long rails 'hang/slot' onto. Then you can tighten them. This took us a while to figure out as it's not indicated in the instructions and no other parts have this feature. Lastly, when you start to lay down the slats, start on the Velcro. Do NOT start on the edges or you'll have a gap. I know that seems like a lot but it really is easy if you have the help and take your time. It took me and my 2 young kids about 1.5 hours but if we knew the above it would probably have taken less than an hour. Bed is SOLID and I'm really happy with it. Honestly, I'm unable to find one thing wrong with this bed frame. Easy and fast delivery. Driver brought it into my garage. Set up, while a little on the tedious side, really was simple. Everything is numbered and matched up. I purchased queen, 44 inch grey wood. It's pretty. My queen mattress has been on a box spring for about four years. Now that it's on this frame, and the box spring is gone, I'm sleeping like a baby. The frame is sturdy and solid and I feel very secure on it. Love the support. Great quality. Great price. Came boxed up nicely, too. Oh, and I love the fact that the styrofoam pieces were covered in plastic so no floating pieces getting stuck everywhere. Highly recommend! ... show more

Bed frame came inside flat box weighing a significant amount (75lbs approx). Was not damaged in shipping and was packaged with care. The construction feels sturdy and inspires confidence. Zero noise at all. Looks fantastic and the increased height model puts you at a very comfortable height off the ground. This bed is fantastic quality, so easy to assemble and looks great. I was a bit hesitant at this price point and was worried it wouldn't be high enough quality. There were no scratches or any defects on the wood. Major annoyance was it shipped without any screws or instructions and the support team was painfully slow. They spread out the information requests into multiple emails and then clearly weren't reading closely because they asked for a few pieces of info multiple times. And it was always 24 hours between emails from them, making the repeat info requests that much worse. They managed to stretch this into 6 days of back and forth before finally shipping the missing screws. Happy with the bed now that it's assembled. Just be aware you might be missing the screws. The support team will resolve your issue if it does happen. Just very slowly. ... show more

I put this bed together during a month when I was moving into a new house and assembling a LOT of furniture. It was by far the least stressful and best experience I had. I was just looking for another frame for my guest room and while there are frames I like the look of that are $20-$50 less than ZINUS, I’m ordering ZINUS again! That’s a small price to pay for lowering my stress level. I’m glad to see there is a company that actually cares what assembly is like for their customers. The bed is also beautiful and super solid. Avoid avoid avoid!!!! These beds are horrible. The screws cannot be tightened, they just spin resulting in a wobbly frame. Such a waste money, worst Amazon product ever!

by far this has to be the EASIEST bed frame to manually put together. no struggling whatsoever endured during the process of placing it together. (besides carrying the super long box inside for it is HEAVY). instructions are incredibly clear. frame itself is sturdy and fit our queen mattress perfectly. there is still adequate storage space underneath to store items if needed. frame has little to no squeaking for it's more on the quiet side when it comes to movement which is a plus. we didn't rip the tape off the wooden boards for our current mattress is being replaced by another coming in the mail but even without the tape removed, it doesn't move around or slide at all. ... show more
