    • Very impressed with this inexpensive mattress!
I ordered this mattress for my daughter for her first big girl bed, I wanted something medium in firmness and did not want a spring mattress. Chemicals and off-gassing are something I am concerned with so I looked specifically for a bed that is Certi-Pur certified and uses bio-foams (I sleep on a hybrid that has both of these features, made by the H. Goodman company). I wanted something with a decent warranty and 10 years is pretty standard, by then she will be old enough to pick out her own mattress. Seeing reviews for this company I thought I'd give them a try, especially for the price! It was ordered on a Friday and came the following Thursday, so shipping was fairly prompt. I immediately unwrapped it and took off the plastic and it started puffing up to size, I was amazed at how small they can shrink it down to fit into that box! It had a very slight new foam odor but not nearly as strong as a Tempurpedic or many other brands, and it disapated quickly once opened. Within a couple of hours (the time it took to disassemble her toddler bed and build her new twin bed, a platform bed with storage drawers underneath) it was completely decompressed and up to its full 8 inch size! It is now on her bed and ready for bedtime, and I must say I am very impressed. I stretched out on it and found it quite comfortable for me, so I'm sure she will love it- she was already running around on it as it was puffing up! It feels softish, yet supportive for an inexpensive foam bed. The cover also is very soft and stretchy, but seems kind of thin (you can see through it a bit, where the foams are different colors on the sides) but you should be covering it with a good mattress protector and sheets anyway. There is no real side edge support to speak of, so if you are larger and sit on the edge of the bed a lot it may not hold you up well, but my kiddo is 2 1/2 so she doesn't have a lot of weight. I forsee this holding up well for her for quite a while. Overall I like this bed, and will try to update after a few months of use to let everyone know how it holds up! I am editing to add that she slept like a log last night, no tossing and turning from a normally all-over-the-place sleeper. She was so comfy she even slept in this morning (which never happens!) and gave this mama a nice time to drink some coffee ;) ... show more

    • Totally comfortable, totally perfect
I was a bit nervous buying this mattress to go on the Zinus Daybed. When it arrived, I figured it would take 4 or 5 days to "inflate", but within 6 hours it was up to it's full 8". Then I was worried that it would have a "green tea and foam" smell that would take time to dissipate. Nope, no smell at all. I was able to sleep on this mattress and on the daybed the very first night. I like a firmer bed and this was perfect. It offered full support with soft comfort. Since using the mattress I find that I am sleeping much better and awaking more refreshed and in less pain from my arthritis. I definitely recommend this mattress to cushion your body during the night, for deeper, more restful sleep. I will say that it does sleep a bit hot, but since I am usually cold most of the time, it was perfect for me. I use a lighter blanket, rather than a comforter now and it's fine. Of course, with the outside temperatures up to 100 degrees, that also makes things a bit hotter. This is typical of memory foam, but not really a negative. Overall, the mattress exceeds my expectations. (On a side note, once you get it out of the box it comes in and it inflates, you will never be able to get it back in that box, lol) ... show more

    • Great Mattress / Comfortable
I purchased this bed for my daughter to use on her bunk bed. I was a bit hesitant to buy it as it is not the brand we normally buy and I wasn’t really interested in the infusion of tea tree scent. But it was in my price range so I thought we would give it a try. When we received the mattress and removed it from the packaging it inflated rather quickly. Within about 20 minutes it was 95% at full-size! Within hours it reached the full height without any problems. My daughter slept on it and had a wonderful night of restful sleep. She did not really detect the tea tree scent nor the advertised “cooling effect”, but nonetheless, she absolutely loved it! If you are mainly buying this due to the tea tree scent or its cooling effect, I am not sure you will be too thrilled with this product. But, as far as comfort and the ability to expand to its advertised height—it's perfect! We are very pleased with this mattress. As a side note, if you should want or need to return it for any reason good luck in trying to get it back in the box! It would be an impossible feat I’m sure. I have never heard of anyone successful returning this type of mattress through the mail. So, if you are not happy with it, be prepared to just be stuck with it (unless you have access to a steamroller and some fast-moving elves to assist you). ... show more

    • Awesome twin mattress replacing an AWFUL hybrid, bed in a box, unit.
This mattress is just fine for a child or a small lightweight adult. It has plenty of firmness, yet it feels soft and cozy once you get in a comfortable position. It seems like durability is o.k. and probably would last at least 3-5 yrs. It is going to be used on a low-loft bed with a solid deck for support. Taking in consideration the memory foam density, I would recommend a solid surface underneath, instead of slats. With a platform surface I hope it keeps it's shape and doesn't break down before she's ready to size-up to a full. The material that covers the entire mattress is white, cotton-like and soft. It should be easy to clean. It appears you can unzip the cover and toss it in the washer (not sure about the dryer?)- unlike so many of the hybrid mattress I've seen. This mattress has NO COILS or springs. It is straight memory foam with gel as a topper. Great bargain. I'm happy with this bed. More importantly, my granddaughter says she's in love with it, and wants to marry it! Lol Cheers! ... show more
