We have a king size sleigh bed in our master bedroom and have always used it with a conventional coil spring 3 piece mattress and box spring. We have a vacation cottage where we put in a memory foam mattress on a wood slat foundation. We noticed that we were sleeping better on the memory foam mattress compared to our old (probably worn out) conventional mattress. We wanted to switch to a memory foam but wanted to keep our bed frame. This steel and wood foundation comes in several depth options and the 7.5" foundation would work with our sleigh bed frame. We ordered it and it worked perfectly in our sleigh bed frame. We went with the steel frame with wood cross pieces as that is close to the foundation on our other bed. There are 14 wood slats on the king size foundation which is several more that the mattress company recommends. Assembly was easy, each piece has a number sticker to match up the pieces and the screws went in with little difficulty. They even include a ratcheting hex bit driver to speed up the process. The cover goes on the foundation like a fitted sheet and even has a yellow tag to help get the cover on right the first try. Overall, a well made foundation, easy assembly and plenty of wood slats to support the memory foam mattress. Our sleigh bed will give us several more years of use and let us move up to new memory foam mattress technology.

Packaging came a little torn so was a bit worried but upon opening it wasn’t so bad. This is pretty heavy but I managed to carry it in and set it up just fine. A few things to make note of was there were some scratches on the metal but that’s not a big deal. If anything I’m a little worried about the welding on the metal pieces as the it doesn’t look fully welded. Only time will tell how this will last, which not expecting much as this was a great price and very easy set up. The provide an rench too which is really nice and now can use for other things.

I kept blaming my mattress for lower back pain and poor quality as it look like it was sinking after only having 6 months. Come to find out it was the box spring all along. I replaced with this super supportive guy and it immediately helped Out. Super easy to build and quality is fantastic for the price.

This mattress foundation was so easy to put together is was amazing. Took 2 people 13 minutes. I timed it. Who knew you could purchase a king size box spring, assemble and install it without leaving your house. It arrived in a long skinny box that was very convenient. Seems extremely sturdy. The wood planks are connected with Velcro so easy to install. It has some flexibility as opposed to the all metal platform that I also purchased from the same company. The all metal platform had a lot more parts and a bit more difficult to put together. I would recommend both platforms. They were both pretty convenient. These are for guest bedrooms so I can’t comment on everyday use. It worked for me.

Old school "box spring" users relax, this is a great option. I had a steel framed with just a mattress which helped to convert my thinking. But, then a bed that required a foundation was desired. The first instinct was to drag one home from a local shop. So glad I didn't! Thiscame right to my door and has proved to be of better quality, lighter, easy to assemble (and will be if we have to move it as it is not one big structure that is a fixed form), love that you can remove cover to wash it when needed. I have stood on it to put curtains up and it stays stable. We have about 600 pounds on it a night with us and our big dogs and it is sturdy. Highly recommend.

Ordered 2 of this Zinus box spring (queen and king size). Both were easy to assemble. Took me and my husband about 15 mins to put together each one. Instructions were very easy to follow with just a few steps and the wood slats were already put together with the Velcro already attached so all we had to do was put the screws on the well marked steel frame and stretch the wood slats all the way on each side then attach them to the other velcro on top of the steel frame. I could've assembled them myself but having another person to hold it up made zipping the cover so much easier. Box spring looks nice and sturdy and materials don't look cheap yet the price is reasonable. We had a small issue with the cover that came with the king size box spring since it won't zip up all the way. I think they inadvertently put the wrong size cover in the box so I called Amazon and the lady I spoke to was very nice and said that I can return the item. I told her that we already put it together and she said unfortunately they can't replace the box spring cover only. She arranged to have an entire box of the same product delivered within a week and as soon as we got the replacement, we simply removed the cover that was in the box and replaced it with the cover that was the wrong size. Overall, excellent product and great customer service with regards to the exchange.

Works great as box spring though I think it is still tad over priced. The cover is a pain to put on you have to make sure you have it the right direction or it won’t close.
