This is the 3rd or 4th or so Zinus bed frame I've purchased and just like the rest, the assembly is easy to follow, it's sturdy, and it looks great. They're also easy to break down and re-assemble in case of a move. The way they use Velcro for the slats to stick to the frame that otherwise ALWAYS fall at some point on other bed frames and is a pain to fix, makes it so much better. They also have a sticky thing on the slats to stick the mattress to the bed frame so the mattress doesn't slide around but I never need to use it. I assembled the bed frame by myself and it took less than an hour. I love that they include a little ratchet in the hardware. All the screws screwed in easily to all the places they needed to go. It's not too heavy. I have a 12 inch mattress so it does almost completely cover the bottom slat on the headboard. The pillows on my 12 inch mattress pretty much cover the headboard. They must use a really thin mattress for the product picture because my bedding engulfs 99% of the frame and you can barely see it, so be warned if you want the bed frame to be visible but have a high mattress/fluffy bedding. I got this one because I had a really low profile frame from them before and I wanted to utilize under bed storage. This has plenty of room to put things away underneath. Originally i wasnt going to write a review, but there are so few detailed reviews for the Sustainable Bamboo varitation, i decided to share my thoughts. I recently moved into my first apartment and bought this bed frame for it's price, material, and the high reviews it showed. I can confirm that it is well worth the price and it is relatively easy to assemble with no extra tools. BUT, not worthy of a 5-star review in my eyes due to small imperfections. Let it be known that I am a student with experience putting furniture together. I also can not speak on the longevity of this product. Pros: - The packaging does a good job protecting the wood and keeping it steady. It is an awkward box to hold so I recommend two people carry it. - This took no more than 40 minutes to complete from opening the box to placing down the slats - The frame has not budged or made a single noise even with my mattress and myself on top. - Every piece was properly labeled by step and functioned as intended without issue. - Very light frame and not difficult to move. Once the metal rods in the center were attached I could move it myself with ease. - Decent storage space but nothing special. Cons: - Some screws do not go all the way. I'm not sure if it's because of the holes in the wood being inadequately drilled or if it stripped against the metal locks. It has not affected the stability of the frame. (Picture provided) - Instructions slightly confusing, the manual has letter lables for every piece, however the pieces themselves do not. My advice is to follow the numbers as they match the step you should be on. That being said, I highly recommend this bed frame. Do your research before you decide which fits for you. ... show more

Fantastic beds!!! We bought these for our grandkids when they visit and these are the most solid , easy to put together beds I’ve ever made. They give you the tools needed including a small ratchet! Everything fits together perfectly and is solid wood. I bought two so it seems consistent in two different packages. I’d buy these again in a second. This bed frame is fantastic, and was a lot easier to put together than some of the reviews would have you believe. The instructions were good, and the pieces of the bed were labeled with stickers to make it easy. It even came with a little ratcheting Allen wrench that made things faster. The bed doesn't wobble to creak, it looks nice, and it was affordable. I am very happy with it and I think that you will be too ... show more

This looks great after being assembled BUT it has a terrible chemical smell / odor. Like the finish is still off gassing, but not exactly the kind of smell. I wake up with a headache EVERY morning now that i'm sleeping in this bed. I HATE IT. It's making me sick and making my head feel like I have a headcold and can't think, like i'm all spacey. Now my room smells terrible, and it hits me like a wave everytime i walk in the room. This is extra hard for me because my left arm is injured and i don't have help to take this toxic bed apart and move my mattress out and put in a new frame. this has probably ruined my new mattress as well. LAME! I 'm warning yall. You have been warned. i would return but i let it sit in the box for a few months until i had a day when my arm felt well enough for me to put this together. What a nightmare. Are you trying to poison us? if so, mission accomplished. EDIT: I called Amazon support and explained my situation and how it was out of the return window and they were super helpful. Because of my injury and difficulty disassembling it and remote location they have issued me a full refund and are not making me return it. This frame is going to the dump where i'm sure it will stink up the dump even worse then normal. Thank you Amazon! You always stand by us customers even when I company with zero standards sneaks it's toxic products past you. (FYI to other customers, these reviews seem to cover multiple bed frames by this company. maybe ever model isn't toxic? i don't know, just stay away from this one) ... show more
