1/24/2024 UPDATE: I have now had this bed frame for 8 years and I consider this the single best Amazon purchase I've ever made. This bed frame has survived through FOUR moves, 3 mattresses, 4 cats, and one house fire. It is an absolute beast. The bed frame itself is still in IMMACULATE condition, but my cats have used the upholstered parts as scratching posts so its looking a bit dingy these days and it's time to replace it. I am only looking at bedframes from this same company (and honestly I might just buy this one again!). I think my favorite thing about this bed is how easy it is to put together (especially since I move so often!). I'm the kind of person that takes 4 days to put an ikea table together, but I can take this bed apart and put it back together all by myself in 20 mins tops. The slats with the velcro is GENIUS and all beds should be made like this lol. I originally used a regular spring mattress and a topper, but switched to a Nectar mattress a few years ago. I think the Nectar mattress works much better with the style of the bed. It also gives the best height to comfortably use the headboard as a backrest while sitting up in bed to read or whatever. Seriously, if you're on the fence about this bed, just jump. You won't regret it! 4/12/18 UPDATE: Its been a year and a half and I’m still in love with this bed! I’ve had zero problems with it and I get lots of compliments when friends come over. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I was in dire need of a bed frame and I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg. This bed is perfect. Super cheap and super cute. It goes perfectly with my bedroom and the upholstered headboard is gorgeous. It was really easy to put together and it feels very sturdy. I've had it for almost 4 months now and I love it just as much as the day I bought it. I think it was made as a platform style bed so you'd only need a thin mattress for it. I prefer beds that sit higher up so I use a regular mattress and a 9" memory foam mattress on top of that and it's great.

I rarely have the time to write reviews, but I READ them all the time. I purchased this frame because of the price, coupled with the good reviews. And now I want to add my own because this company deserves it! Bottom line: I can't imagine a better bed for the price—or a smoother assembly. The parts are extremely well made, from the stitching to the metal parts. Not thin, flimsy, or sloppy. And more importantly they fit together perfectly! No misaligned holes. No "almost fits" spots. Just perfectly aligned. The directions were very clear diagrams (okay, one step looked to me like a giant tangle of lines and arrows and I had no idea what it was showing me, but it wasn't too hard to just look at the parts and figure it out). Plus, they give you extra screws (who does that?) and one of those ratchet Allen wrench things (again, who does that?) so you're not spending all day tightening all the numerous screws. Now, don't be like me and FORGET about the ratchet wrench until you are halfway through and cursing how long it's taking to tighten them all. Aside from the simple, elegant style, I purchased this bed frame because I have a small bedroom and the size was perfect. So many other platform frames I looked at were much larger. When you have a small bedroom, even a few inches makes a big difference. Keep in mind that the mattress sits on TOP of the slats, not nestled inside a lip of the frame. It's the look I wanted and the dimensions I wanted. But be sure it's for you. I especially love that there is velcro to hold the slats in place. I'll leave it to others to talk about it's comfort. I haven't slept on it yet. But if I find there are any issues/complaints, I'll come back and add it here. All I can say is that it looks and feels amazing at this point. The only minor complaints I have are about the feet and the packaging. The feet are black plastic, which is, to me, cheapens the elegance of the bed. You don't notice them that much, so it's not a big deal overall, but I'd pay extra to be able to order legs in solid wood. Zinus, are you listening? Also, the packaging. It's excellent that all the pieces come packed inside the headboard, but I'd love to see way less plastic and styrofoam being used. We can do better for the planet these days.

Let me start by saying I was EXTREMELY skeptical when ordering this. Most bookcases and cheap pieces of furniture I order have been junk. They're wobbly and don't fit together well. I read quite a bit of reviews and ordered this because of the price, the included headboard, and the many positive reviews regarding the quality. I passed on several other frames that had negative reviews for breaking and wearing out prematurely, along with being quite noisy. I paired this with Zinus Memory Foam 12 Inch Green Tea Mattress, King. I was concerned about the memory foam not being on a full platform such as a sheet of plywood and just the slats, but it's not a worry, this frame is compatible with memory foam. First, the frame is VERY easy to assemble and the design is phenomenal. It's on the quality level of IKEA furniture over brands found at discount retailers. I'm an engineer by trade and deal with complicated drawings and schematics, so I appreciate a good design and while I don't find furniture difficult to assemble, I read many reviews where it takes people hours. This took me less than 30 minutes start to finish. It literally takes longer to unpack than to assemble. All of the pieces come packed inside a zippered area in the headboard, so the chance of it being damaged is low. It also comes packed in a double layer of cardboard, but it is HEAVY. There are only three screws you need to take out of the bubble wrap to insert in the frame. The rest are already placed and need to be backed off slightly to hook in the sides of the frame, which is a simple task. Repeat that a few times, then a round or two of tightening once all the pieced are placed. The slats come connected like mini blinds. They velcro to the frame so there's no question where to place them. It's quite clever. I snugged all the screws, then made 2 more rounds to ensure they were tight and everything gently moved into place. I must say that this frame is impressively sturdy! The mattress is also made by Zinus, which was also a fantastic buy, so I'm confident their products are something I will be willing to purchase and recommend. Lastly, the color looks better in person. I was afraid it would be sort of a burlap, but it's a gentle taupe with a smooth fabric and the upholstered look is impressive.

WOW!!!! I can't believe the quality of this bed!!!! There were three reasons I chose to purchase this bed; the rating, the price and the style. This style was the exact style I was looking for. I saw several that were the "headboard only" at furniture stores for anywhere from $799 to over $1,000. I wanted a new bed, but not at that price. This bed, in King size and with tax, was UNDER $300!!! It includes the headboard, footboard and side rails (all padded and covered with this gorgeous fabric). With an electric drill, it took my husband and me less than 20 minutes to assemble. I expected the frame to be cheap wood, since the price was so low, but it wasn't. It's all metal and it's the sturdiest bedframe I've ever seen. This bed doesn't make a peep or squeak. It's awesome!!!! The fabric on this bed blew me away!!! I expected it to be rough and even a little itchy to the touch. Instead, it's so soft and even has a hint of shimmer to it. This bed was nicer than the $1,000 ones I saw at furniture stores. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this bed!!! It's one of the best purchases I've ever made online. I've already started recommending it to my friends and coworkers. FYI....when it arrives, don't panic. The side rails, footboard and frame are actually packaged/concealed inside the headboard (behind a zippered compartment). Initially, I began to panic thinking the bed was only a headboard. Once my husband realized the sideboards, footboard and frame were packaged inside the headboard, I was relieved. It's such a great bed!!!!

I love the look of platform beds with a headboard but don't always love their prices! The only budget-friendly options were bare bones metal frames -- and then I found this little beauty. The positive reviews and $200 price tag sold me on this bed. And honestly, I'm not disappointed. The entire bed arrives in one package. I found it a little difficult to move because of the weight(I ordered a queen) but once you get all of the pieces out of the headboard (where they're conveniently stored), it was easy-peasy. In total, it took me about 30 minutes to put it all together by myself. The result was a lovely platform bed in a perfectly neutral taupe. The fabric is linen-y looking and the tufting adds an added touch of elegance. Once assembled, the finished product looks far from an affordable $200 and, for the most part, the bed feels well made. I do question the sturdiness off the wooden slats. They seem quite soft to support a queen mattress but they arrived intact and free of any splintering. Only time will tell how well they hold up. But, really, the true star of this bed is the headboard. And I did not want to cover it up with an overly large mattress. So, I opted to order the Sleep Master Ultima Comfort Memory Foam 6 Inch Mattress, Queen. With the bedspread and pillows, it comes out to the perfect height -- the headboard is highlighted rather than hidden by bedding. Over the last week, the mattress has proven to be a good complement to the bed frame and, so far, I do not feel the wooden slats through the six-inch mattress. So, if you love the look of the headboard, keep in mind that it sits low -- a 12-inch mattress with bedding will leave just the top of the headboard peeking out. All in all, I'm happy with this purchase. This platform bed looks beautiful, gives my room a polished look, and was relatively easy to put together by myself. If you're on the fence about ordering this, I'd say go for it if you have a six or eight-inch mattress -- a thinner mattress will make all the difference in how well the bed looks and will cause less wear and tear on the thin wooden slats.

This frame is beautiful. I'm a young college student that was looking for something inexpensive, yet chic and with nice quality. This frame has fit my needs perfectly. I've seen reviews where the product was damaged due to tears in the boxes, which is what I was afraid of receiving. However my set was doubled boxed! The outer box was badly damaged with tears, but the one that covered the frame was in perfect condition. Set up was very quick and simple. It took me about 45 mins to put the bed together once I knew how to put the metal frame in place. Honestly, the instructions were pretty self explanatory and you really don't need them. For any future buyers though, I would suggest you put all the pieces in place, except the slats, before tightening the screws. It's much harder to put the last pieces in once the frame is in place. I LOVE that the pieces came inside the back of the headboard, so when I relocate, I can always take them with me and one swift trip. Also there is more than enough slats to hold the bed. There is no squeaking noises which my last bed did constantly, even with just my 119 pound body on it. I also took the time to jump on it to listen for any creaking, but there were none. The only downside is that the headboard is a little low/short. Especially compared to my last bed. However, it is so beautiful and chic that I can overlook that (I'm short anyway). Also, the zipper on the headboard was snagging on a piece of plastic wrapped around one of the pieces. I had to pull all the parts out and spent quite some time pulling the zipper back and forth to fix it. I purchased the 12 in. mattress with this bed frame and these two together are amazing. The height is just right for me, even though I was a little skeptical that it wouldn't be. Overall I love it! My mom came by yesterday as I was putting it together and said she loved it too! Thanks!

"Functional, Stylish, Sturdy, Easily Assembled" as quoted by their brochure inside. I wholeheartedly agree! I browsed many of the platform beds on Amazon and elsewhere to land on this one for my Helix mattress. My deciding factors were color, fabric, price and slat width. Slat width and price were the clincher. I needed flat slats that had spacing no larger than 3" apart and this one had that with an affordable price. The shipping box was in great shape, I was worried about that, especially seeing some of the other reviews. It comes double boxed, so everything was well protected. All the pieces are ingeniously packed within the headboard (If I ever move again this is a clear bonus!!!). It took me about 30 minutes to put it together. Everything was quite level and sturdy. The slats stick to the base via Velcro, which I might say is quite nice. The velcro is industrial strength. Those slats don't seem to be going anywhere. The fabric has a nice upholstery feel to it, giving it a great texture. It sits 7.75" off the ground. My mattress is 10" which comes to about the first row of buttons. This sits about the same height I had with a typical box spring setup, which is nice. I was afraid I'd be sitting lower to the ground with a platform bed frame. The legs are plastic, but are quite sturdy and you can't really tell anyways unless you're down on the ground inspecting it. So overall this is a great buy!!! Shipping was SUPER FAST! I ordered it Monday morning and it was here Wednesday afternoon. I wasn't expecting it until Friday according to Amazon's shipping page. Granted this isn't shipped by Amazon, but by the company, and they did a fantastic job of it. Thank you for another great product!

Received my Zinus bed today, and my initial impressions are VERY good. The whole assembly does indeed fit inside the headboard. This thing is bombproof. Solid metal and real wood throughout. It's very well put together. It's also a DREAM to put together, because they pre-insert all the screws. You just loosen them a little to fasten the sides to the head/footboard, and the head/footboard to the crossbar supports, then tighten them again. No big bag of screws. It's honestly a dream come true and I can't believe more companies don't do it. The whole thing took me about 45 minutes, start to finish. It makes IKEA look like a jigsaw puzzle. Haven't slept on it yet (Tuft & Needle mattress arrives on Friday), but the frame itself is a huge win. EDIT: Been sleeping on this and the Tuft & Needle mattress for like six months, and it's awesome. Bed frame is as sturdy as ever and we can't wait to move it. EDIT EDIT: So, we're in the middle of moving! Time to disassemble the bed. It was a SNAP. Because all the screws actually STAY in the bed frame, you simply give them a few turns to loosen, disassemble the bed, then a few turns to tighten them up again. No losing, no storing, no rattling around, no bags or tape. It really is a dream. Came apart super cleanly and easily. Storing everything in the headboard was easy, too. I was worried it would be like repacking a box and it would be tricky to get everything to fit, but it was a snap. I kept the instructions in the headboard, so a quick glance at the diagram was all I needed. I'm so surprised at this. It was so easy to assemble, it's rock solid, it's held up exceptionally well in the 1.5 years I've had it, no squeaks, no creaks, no fraying, etc... and it disassembles and stores just as easily. Can't recommend this enough, especially for the price.
