  • Amazing frame for the price!
Size: Queen
For the price of this queen frame I wasn't expecting much honestly when I ordered it. Sure, in the pictures it looked nice but so has a lot of other things that later turn out to be a disaster with either putting it together or keeping it together. This has been a wonderful exception! Everything you need came packaged inside the headboard. On the back there are two zippers that unzip the entire back of the headboard and inside is all of the pieces needed. I really liked this feature as I moved recently and was able to break the bed down and transport it all in one single protected piece. The design is very nice, modern and sleek and durability and quality both seem to be excellent. I have used this bed for nearly a year and it's held up great. One of my main concerns were how sturdy the boards underneath the mattress would be and so far I've not hand a single one break. When looking under the bed when my 2 year old and spouse's 2 year old are jumping on it the boards have a little give and relieve pressure which is a nice added bonus. There are two groups of boards, all strapped together with velcro to adhesive to the bed frame itself which also has velcro. I have not noticed this getting worn out or losing it's strength and the boards seem to always stay in place. The frame itself was extremely easy to put together and there weren't many pieces that had to be put together. There's two panels on either of the long side of the bed, then the small foot board and head board, along with the framing that runs underneath (which is one part) that goes from either side and front to back. There was one small issue with this, one of the leg holes for the headboard seemed to be stripped out a bit so it wouldn't tighten very well and wobbles a bit, however, UPS lost my first bed in transit and so it was awhile before my originally order and when I finally received a replacement so I can live with this, plus with kids jumping on it, two adults falling on it after a long day of work and plenty of rough activities on and around this bed it's held up extremely well. This was a bargain on this and I love it! I also like the addition that there's no need for a box spring anymore. Box springs seem old and archaic and I am glad I upgraded to something more modern. Also, I have seen a few complaints about gaps with other type of bed frames like this..I experienced zero issues of this and my mattress fit perfectly inside and it does not budge, wiggle or move at all. There also a decent amount of space beneath this bed, a small dog and a 2 year old child can both climb under this with no issues, makes for additional storage is need be. Design seems great, assembly is easy and quality is fantastic, I'd recommend! ... show more

  • Looks Great. Sturdy. Noiseless. Sleeps Great!
Size: King
I've purchased my fair share of beds over the years. Therefore I've had numerous experiences putting together beds—particularly platform bed frames. I've purchased beds from Overstock.com and Amazon.com. Generally speaking, the products are usually about the same and you never really know what you're going to get. I do find that Amazon skews more toward the sturdier and more reliable brands. Sometimes you get a good bed, and sometimes you get something that just doesn't even properly represent what you saw online. In the worst cases, you feel cheated and misled. Well that is not the case with this platform bed. This one is a winner. This is arguably the best value in a budget bed frame I've ever encountered. It's not leather; its faux. It's not 180 lbs. either, but what it is solid and grounded once assembled. Nearly every bolt is already in place. A couple of counter clockwise turns and they're loose and ready to accept crossbars, side rails, and can then be tightened down with the supplied Allen key. As you assemble the bed, which took me 30 minutes start-to-finish using the ample instructions, it's remarkable how the structural design choices (two steel center cross sections) couple with the side rails to form a solid base. This King platform at $249.00 is an extreme value for the dollar and presently supports a 125 lbs. 13" gel memory foam mattress from Dynasty Mattress (Amazon). It makes no noises, looks very modern, and is just plain substantive in the face of its extraordinarily low price point. A ten year old could follow the assembly instructions and handle most of the assembly without help. It's that simple to erect. With any innerspring or memory foam mattress, this platform bed does not require a boxspring. The entire platform system comes nested in the headboard, so it arrives in one box. I highly recommend this bed to anyone looking for a platform style that is working with a limited budget. This really is one of the best values in a platform bed in my experience. This bed is secure when assembled properly, and you won't find it wobbling into the adjacent wall creating any sort of telltale raucous during playtime. http://www.amazon.com/Deluxe-Leather-Platform-Wooden-Slats/dp/B00R6OX5IM/ref=cm_rdp_product ... show more

  • Very recycle friendly packaging.
Size: Queen
The entire time I was unpacking and putting the bed together, I was creating a glowing review in my head, until I unwrapped the damaged spot. My heart sank because it was less than perfect. First, the packaging was (mostly) perfect and everything neatly protected from damage during travel. The outer box had a significant punch/tear inevitable from shipping such a large heavy item. But the inner box (yes, it’s double boxed) was not damaged, thus the headboard was safely spared. I had to unbox it in the garage, so I could carry the various parts upstairs one by one. I’m 55 and 5’2”, so, it was too heavy for me. The neat, tucked into the headboard arrangement was very well thought out, although I later discovered one of the side rails had shifted in transit and poked a 3/4” hole in another side rail. So now the bed is 96% perfect. I assembled the bed with the blemish away from view, and once a mattress and bedding is on it, no one is likely to notice. The bed was not difficult to assemble, having both paper and video instruction available. The bed is heavy and sturdy and I feel confident it should last. The faux leather has a nice look and feel to it, not cheap looking as the price tag would imply. Something else that impressed me was the packaging. The boxes: recyclable. The plastic bags that every individual piece was wrapped in (#4 plastic, knotted not taped): recyclable (at the grocery store’s bag recycle bin. Publix takes clean #2 and #4 bags for recycling. The 2 pieces of styrofoam also recyclable (with foam egg carton/trays) Paper instructions: recyclable That left 5 zip ties and the 4x6 plastic card that the screws were secured with as the only landfill item going into my trash. Very impressive. If I could break it down, I’d give it a 4.8 out of 5 (for the blemish). Overall, it was a good value for the money, and I’d definitely recommend it, if you’re considering buying it. ... show more

  • Lasting longer than I thought
Size: Full
UPDATE: 05/23/2020: Still going strong. I oil the squeaky joints once a year or two, good as new. I have moved it twice a year and while it's not as tight as it used to be, it's still holding up well. I'm careful with it. ***UPDATE: 01/12/2016: It now rocks and started squeaking a couple of months ago. Luckily I have carpet, because I truly believe the legs would give in and collapse. One leg is bent. I see I got more joy and stability out of this frame than others but this is not meant for daily long term use. Can't contact the seller, too late now anyway. I regret purchasing, but did enjoy it the few months it was pleasant. I have to tighten the screws ever so often and I dare not move it at all. May be fine for a kid or rarely used guest room. + +Tedious screwing, but quite easy to assemble and didn't take long (completed alone with zero issues) +Everything is as pictured. Though folks complain about the color, I got it bc it looks more black than brown. Looking closely it is a very deep brown +Sturdy, I'm no small woman and I've had this for a few months now. Grown men have jumped on my bed bc my bed's high. No wobbling +Simply a beautiful, inexpensive well put together platform +No squeaks or noises or wood chipping - -I would not jump on this with just a mattress bc the slats will eventually start to give -The foot of the platform does not protrude enough to sit on, but I'm still able to use it as a step onto my bed -Not the easiest to move around and would check all the screws with every move to be on the safe side -I can push the headboard a little no matter how tight the screws are, but I've had no problems with this...just something I noticed. ... show more

  • Would buy again, but so well made I don't think I will need to.
Size: King
This frame is beautiful, it definitely looks like you spent more than $250 on it. Also, the dark color works with most decor, and it feels very modern and sleek. I paired it with one of the Zinus memory foam mattresses, and they work great together. I was able to afford this king sized frame, and a mattress all for under what I would have paid to just get a traditional mattress at a store. This frame came in the mail last night, and my husband and I were able to put it together in about 30 minutes. It was super easy to put together, I think that I could have done it myself. The way they designed this was pretty smart. Everything comes in a zippered pouch on the back of the head board. The instructions were just pictures, but overall very easy to follow. A few tips: *loosen all the bolts on the frame. *when it tells you to put a bolt it, they are actually already on the frame. We were searching for extra parts we thought we lost, but they are already in you just loosen them to put the frame onto the sideboards then tighten. *If more than one person is doing this, find an extra allen wrench that fits, it will make the process go so much faster. It feels very solid. I jumped around to test it out, and no movement, so squeaking. Feels like it will hold up a very long time. The only thing I worry about is the leather vs my dogs nails, but that is with any leather furniture, not this specific brand. There was real wood in slats, and in the side rails and foot board, not like a particle board that is laminated, real wood. The inner frame part is made of metal, and the pegs on bottom are a hard plastic that screws into the headboard and foot board. Seems to be very well constructed. Overall, I feel like this is a FANTASTIC buy. I will update a few months down the road to see how it is holding up. ... show more

  • Fantastic construction, easy assembly, better than more expensive models
Size: Queen
I used to work for a moving company and, through the experience and others, had the opportunity to assemble and disassemble many expensive bed frames from local stores. The frames always irritated me because, while the frames looked nice, they were clearly not made to be moved more than a few times. The wood slats were screwed in with wood screws, literally damaging the frame every time it was disassembled/reassembled, the center was held up with cheap wood pegs, etc. The frame pieces were also a pain to move or manage and assembly took at least 2, sometimes 3 people. This frame should be held up as an example for other frames to follow. Aside from the initial panic that I had paid $170 for a headboard, I quickly realized that EVERYTHING IS ZIPPED INTO THE HEADBOARD. It's extremely heavy to move around, so be aware (I had it delivered to work rather than home, which was a mistake). It was clearly designed to be transported easily and, if needed, frequently. Included directions are clear and easy to follow. Definitely takes 2 people to assemble. Aside from the portability, it was quickly evident to me that this frame is also built with a smarter and more practical construction. Rather than small wooden pegs supporting the center of the frame, the frame includes a T-shaped "rib cage" that presents a clear and stable support for the center of the beg. The horizontal wooden slats for the "ribs" don't screw in with wood screws like every other frame I've seen, but rather attach using a very strong VELCRO. What a genius idea - they don't slide or move at all. We've been sleeping on this frame with a memory foam mattress for a few months and it's fantastic. It can be slid around on the floor if needed without the fear I've had with other frames of legs collapsing or the frame twisting or contorting in some way, and it supports the weight of 2 people easily and effortlessly. Overall, very impressed. Would seek out this company for future purchases. ... show more

  • Great looking, super sturdy bed.
Size: Queen
I don't think I can really express enough how impressed I am with this product. It looks great! Faux leather looks like real leather, feels tough and was 100% undamaged when it arrived. Assembly was ridiculously easy. Took me about 35 minutes to put it all together by myself. All the pieces fit together as it appears they should without any problems or adjustments. After assembly I put my super heavy, ancient 12" memory foam mattress on it and the wife and I went to sleep. I am 250lbs, she is around 200 and this bed made neither creak nor groan. felt like my mattress was on a really nice looking rock. This thing is solid, In the morning I tried kneeling on the mattress and moving about really fast to try to get it to wobble or make some noise, nothing! I am 100% satisfied with my purchase so far. I feel that I should mention something that is not in the instructions or description that caught me off guard. The screws for the head board, foot board and sides are already screwed in. They need to be loosed (not removed) before you attach them to the frame. Not a negative at all, it's just that I pulled out the hardware pack and saw only a handful of screws and kinda freaked out thinking "I am missing a bunch of screws". But once I looked at all of the pieces a bit I realized what was going on. ... show more

  • I have joined the adult world and there's no turning back...
Size: Queen
It was far past time for me to upgrade from my mattress on the floor and join the adult world with an actual bed frame. I spent a fair amount of time researching my purchase and scrolling through my various options online, cause God forbid I'd have to set foot inside an actual store... Sometimes I wonder how people survived before the Internet? I finally decided on this particular one because of the plethora of positive reviews and the very appealing price point... If I knew you could get a bed for less than $200, I would have considered joining the adult world a bit sooner *cringe*. I received the bed about 5 days ago now and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase... That is, unless the delivery guy had actually delivered it to my door! But then I would have missed out on all the fun of carrying it up to my third floor apartment. So ya, consider yourself warned, the box is rather heavy. I'm sure you could have guessed that though. After all, it is a bed. For a queen size bed, I was rather surprised by the size of the box that it came in. In fact, I was convinced that there was some mistake and that I was surely missing something. Trust me, it's all there. All of the components fit nicely inside the hollowed out cavity in the headboard, which is actually quite nice. Once I realized this and got all of the components laid out, the actual assembly was a total breeze. I didn't time myself or anything, but I would guess that th whole process took about 30min. It really could not have been any easier, and the finished product looks quite nice... Especially considering the price. After spending a few nights in my new bed, I really couldn't be happier. The bed seems sturdy and both me and my girl are sleeping great. I feel more like an adult every day now... A well rested adult. ... show more
