I was fed up waiting for the bed I ordered a full eight months prior from Valyou furniture, so I cancelled that order and set about researching a "replacement." It didn't take me long to notice this one due to the very high rating and also the very high number of people who rated it. Three days later it was set up in my bedroom and I (almost) couldn't be happier. Here are some specifics. First, pay the extra money to have it dropped where you want it inside your home. It's heavy--I'm 6'2", 300 lbs and would not want to carry it upstairs alone. Second, everything is zipped inside the back of the headboard. Very clever and efficient packaging. Third, if you have someone helping you DO employ both allen wrenches provided. You will literally work twice as fast. One wrench is standard and the other is a nifty wratcheting allen wrench. Next, the directions do not have any words, but the pictures do tell the whole story of the (simple) assembly. Words would have helped, as I misinterpreted two steps. That's why I subtracted a star from both "Easy to assemble" and "Instruction quality." But everything is so easy that it wasn't a big deal to go back and make the corrections when discovered. All told I would say that everything took less than an hour from preparing the bedroom to make room for the frame, unpackaging/building the frame, making the bed on the frame, and tidying everything up. Now, this is one very impressive bed! It is extremely sturdy. It is extremely handsome--pictures don't do it justice, frankly. The gray upholstery is surprisingly high quality--thick and soft. It's an unbelievable deal. And to think I almost paid $900 from (horrible) Valyou and waited eight months (and counting) when I got this baby for about $240 in just three days. An incredible value. I just put this bed together yesterday, and so far it seems to be very sturdy and solidly built. The bolts holding it together are all tight. I didn't feel like any of them would become stripped while torquing them down. I like the velcro holding the slats in place. I think the panels are plywood, rather than that awful MDF everything seems to be made of now. So, points for that. And the finished product looks really great. Only time will tell if holds up over the long term, but so far it is well worth the price. ... show more

I can’t rave enough about this product, especially at the cost. Cheaply priced does not in fact mean cheaply made in this case! Very durable and well built. I’m a 250 lb man, and my wife and I bought this for our king size mattress. No squeaking, no shifting, no crackling. The packaging is so nice and compact. Everything comes inside the headboard contained by a zipper pouch. Instructions are crystal clear and and assembly was super easy. The only slightly negative thing I will say, which is not a huge deal, is that if you have a thicker mattress, the headboard will be slightly concealed by the mattress. I’d say about 70% is visible and the rest is concealed by the mattress. We have a Helix dusk lux mattress. Other than that 10/10!! Buy it! ... show more

Everything you need is in the headboard. Easy for single person assembly; better if there are two people. Ergo allen wrench and regular allen wrench are included. It’s sturdy, quiet and comfortable. High enough off the ground and not so high that you are adjacent to the ceiling. :) Note: except for the 5 nuts needed to secure the steel, all screws are in their respective holes. ... show more

I like this king bed frame. It’s a very nice grey color. It came arrived in a compact box. Everything was stored in the headboard. The middle leg was slightly cracked/broken, but didn’t matter since it was in the center of the bed and couldn’t be seen. The slats are about 2 & half inches apart.

I have had this bed for 4 years, moved 4 times with it. It has remained sturdy, does not make any noise or anything. It’s definitely low to the ground so you can store anything under it as is, but I have it on bed risers and can fit storage boxes under it. The bed is pretty easy to set up, the instructions could be better. They give you a really cool ratchet Allen wrench. Once you figure the instructions out it's easy. Super heavy even with my son-in-law. Everything is in a zipped pouch on back of headboard, the screws in an easy marked pouch. Best to unpack and carry parts into room. Funny some good engineering went into this. Two people is recommended but one could do it took us less than one hour and it seems sturdy and looks nice. It was a King.
