First Impressions: There's not much to say besides the fact that I LOVE this bed frame! The look, feel, color, design, fabric, and every thing else about this bed frame is on point! I just moved out of my parents house for the first time ever and I wanted to pick something that would look absolutely adorable in my new studio apartment. I feel like I hit the jackpot with this bed frame! The color is just a tiny bit darker than it appears in the ad pictures but don't get me wrong, it's gorgeous and pictures just don't do it justice. I have the Zinus green tea memory foam mattress and it fits the bed frame perfectly. Nothing hangs over and there is no "extra" space around the mattress. My mattress is supposedly the 12 inch but I'm 99% certain that I received the 10 inch. It's the perfect height for the bed frame. Since my apartment is so small, side tables aren't an option so the fact that this bed frame has a flat top, where you can set things, is an added bonus. My boyfriend and I keep our phones charging on the top of the bed frame and it works wonderful so we can hear our alarm. Problems: I do have one complaint with this bed frame, however. When I received mine, putting it together was a struggle because one of the boards to the frame that the plastic legs screw into didn't have any groves inside the hole. We had the hardest time getting one of the legs in because we had to hammer it in to create grooves because there were none. This only happened for one of the bed legs. The rest had the grooves inside like they were supposed to. I am not taking a star off for this because 1. I think it was just a factory mistake and probably didn't affect very many of these and 2. It wasn't a big enough problem that I had to return it. Other than that, this bed frame was very easy to put together with a couple other helping hands. Shipping: The shipping was awesome. It got here on time and was boxed beautifully. The box had visible damage, as expected, but nothing inside was damaged. The box weighed a TON so this is definitely not the most "moving friendly" package especially if you're moving far. If you are moving far, I would recommend waiting to order this product to your new address instead of trying to haul it around. I knew this was the case as I could see the shipping weight but it was not an option for me. So, even though this box is heavy, it's definitely not impossible to move. It is difficult to get up stairs, however, so I'd recommend getting your strong friends to help! After Use: This bed frame has held up wonderfully and I've been sleeping on it for about 5 months. It is very sturdy and will withstand whatever activities you choose to participate in on top of it. I haven't noticed much bowing in the wooden boards underneath. I tend to flop down on the bed without caution and it doesn't budge one bit. It's not squeaky, and doesn't crick and crack when you move around, get on, or get off the bed. It's 100% silent 100% of the time no matter what it is that you're doing. Overall: Overall this was a wonderful purchase and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a classy looking, reasonably priced, bed frame. I've even bragged about it so much that my sister is going to buy the exact same bed frame when we move in together next semester and I would even purchase this product again. I absolutely love it. If this review was helpful, please let me know! EDIT: Now after having this bedframe for 6 years and three moves, it has started to squeak over the past few years. It makes noise getting on and off and while moving around on top of it too. I was fed up waiting for the bed I ordered a full eight months prior from Valyou furniture, so I cancelled that order and set about researching a "replacement." It didn't take me long to notice this one due to the very high rating and also the very high number of people who rated it. Three days later it was set up in my bedroom and I (almost) couldn't be happier. Here are some specifics. First, pay the extra money to have it dropped where you want it inside your home. It's heavy--I'm 6'2", 300 lbs and would not want to carry it upstairs alone. Second, everything is zipped inside the back of the headboard. Very clever and efficient packaging. Third, if you have someone helping you DO employ both allen wrenches provided. You will literally work twice as fast. One wrench is standard and the other is a nifty wratcheting allen wrench. Next, the directions do not have any words, but the pictures do tell the whole story of the (simple) assembly. Words would have helped, as I misinterpreted two steps. That's why I subtracted a star from both "Easy to assemble" and "Instruction quality." But everything is so easy that it wasn't a big deal to go back and make the corrections when discovered. All told I would say that everything took less than an hour from preparing the bedroom to make room for the frame, unpackaging/building the frame, making the bed on the frame, and tidying everything up. Now, this is one very impressive bed! It is extremely sturdy. It is extremely handsome--pictures don't do it justice, frankly. The gray upholstery is surprisingly high quality--thick and soft. It's an unbelievable deal. And to think I almost paid $900 from (horrible) Valyou and waited eight months (and counting) when I got this baby for about $240 in just three days. An incredible value. I've been using this bed for 5 1/2 months now and I believe that's enough time to give an honest opinion. Packaging: This bed ships in 1 large flat rectangular box. All the pieces are packaged into the headboard which I thought was quite innovative. They come zipped into the back. Once assembled, you can hide stuff in the large cavity. cool! Assembly: Comes with instructions but they aren't really needed. It's pretty straight forward. It even comes with the tools to assemble it (an allen ratcheting wrench which I believe was all you needed). I assembled this with my dad within 15 minutes but I could've done it on my own. The one awkward part was the slats which get affixed to the frame via velcro. Construction/Materials: The bed is anchored by 4 plastic legs on the corners and I think 5 more metal legs underneath. It is very secure and doesn't wobble. In my opinion, I think there is more than enough space underneath for storage. My cat likes to hang out underneath and he can also sit upright without bumping his cute little head with his little pink nose. I'm not sure if my slats were warped because of the snow that my box was package was delivered in but since they were warped, they didn't roll completely flat onto the frame. This shouldn't matter once the mattress weighs it down but just the same, they weren't completely secure under their own weight. The fabric all over is of great quality. My cat especially loves hopping on top of the headboard to dig his claws into and wake me up every morning. I suppose he likes it too. Despite his clawing, it has held up pretty well. Inside the headboard, there is some foam so you do have some cushion if you press your head into it Overall: You can't really go wrong with this bed. It's might be the best option on Amazon for something that looks sleek and doesn't break the bank. My only concern was the warped slats which I can't really blame the factory for as I can't confirm if it was their fault or the snowy night that my package was delivered on. This bed gets an A+ from me. It's also cat approved! It held up quite well for all the tests that my lil buddy, with his fancy paws, put it through. Happy shopping! ... show more
